Osmolator 3155 Optical Sensor not working correctly

I have a 3155 and it's been working fine since I got it a few months ago. Last night, I came home from dinner and the alarm on it was going off. I looked in the sump and the water level was well over the optical sensor and the pump was still pumping water into the sump. I have gotten it to stop by using the manual float. I'll call tomorrow to see what Tunze recommends.

Was the pump actually pumping or was water siphoning? Has anything changed between when it worked and when it didn't (new reservoir or change in sensor location, new equipment added)?

The pump was actually pumping, but it has now started working fine again. I cleaned the sensor - seems to be back to normal. I had installed a GFO reactor just prior to the problem, so maybe that had something to do with it - not sure. Thanks, I would hate to not have my Osmolator as it makes life much easier.
