Osmolator Controller Problem?

Hi Tunze team...

Here is one for you...

First off, my unit is still under man. warranty (so refer to that if I have to send anything back to you).

Today I was trying to move rocks from the display into the sump. So normally to prevent the Osmolator from dumping fresh R/O into the sump, I simply turned if off. After I was done, I turned it on and was waiting for it to do a routine 5 sec fill. But, that never happened.

All I had was the yellow light, indicating that it was trying to pump water (but nothing was coming out). So I left it alone to see if maybe the pump is jammed. Well after 5 min, the light switches from yellow to red (low level), and it blinks. All of my instruments (sensors, holders, etc) are the same, nothing has been changed or moved.

What do you suggest I do?

Thanks a lot!!

PS. I love this product. It saved me millions of headaches!

It sounds like the pump is bad or has a bad connection. You would need to contact Tunze Canada in regards to the warranty. It is normal that the unit shuts off after no fill is registered in about 10 minutes. If you do not hear the pump running and the connector is not rusted or loose you probably just need a new pump.

Thanks for your reply. That is what I thought first, the pump must be at fault. I will check the pump's connections and retry. I will also contact Tunze rep in Canada (the one in montreal correct?).

UPDATE: I fiddled with the impeller... and voila.. it was just stuck. Pfffew. Thank God you guys make good products. I thought that if it was the controller, I would be a bit ****ed.
