Osmolator help

im an addict lol
Well I was so excited that I got was it beleived to be the best. well I have been trying now for 4 hours to get the bracket setup to hold the sensors up. Well my tank has a rim so from what I read in other posts that we are not the norm and most countries don't make tanks with rims. Well I don't understand you are selling this product in our country it seems that we should have another option that would hold the sensors in place as safe as other contries. the answer may be as simple as some longer screws put into the box for tanks with rims?

What are my options here other then the silicon as this is a tank that is and has been running for a long time and the silicon will have trouble seting/drying in such a wet environment. Also not a fan of that option as It would be a perment mounting and I may want to move where it is setup in the sump as I am setting the unit up.

Also

Well next I went to setup the pump and mount the controller thinking I could at least get the next step done. so I go to my resirvor that is the in the closet right next to my tank and set the pump in and realize that the pump has a short cord and now the controller must be mounted close to the resirvor. so I mounted everything and then realize that the cord for the sensor will now not reach my sump only 7 feet away in a 6 foot tank. Well any help you can offor with these two issues would be great.

one of the reasons I went with Tunze is I have also heard that the company has the best customer service in the entire Aquarium industry. So I guess I am testing it out sooner then I had hoped. :)

Well any ideas for me?

Thank you for your time and your response to these questions

Roger

didn't know if this would help here is my setup

by the way I am mounting the controller in the fish room not the closet but the pump is in the closet. but because the pump power cord is so short I can only get the contoller on the wall near the power supplys on the left side of the tank.

So can I extend the power cord for the pump? just use an extention cord and strip off the insulation on both sides and reconnect with wire nuts?

If I can do that then I can put the controller where I wanted to put it near the sump.

Roger What do you think is this safe and will it work?

You can use speaker wire and european connectors (available at radio shack). I would not extend it more than a few feet. It is best to keep the controller somewhere dry where it cannot fall in the sump. Sorry, I am in germany for Interzoo and do not have the time I usually do.

The Wire extention worked great thanks!!!!

What about another idea to mount the sensors at the mounting that comes with the unit seems to be useless the way it is. is there a site that I can order longer screws for the mounting brackets?

Yes, the nano magnet holders will work but the set up is very specific, the float is a magnetic switch so you have to screw the rail to the magnet and place the float the maximum distance from the magnet. Magnet at the bottom of the rail, float at the top.
