what are some explanations to why my osmolator is flashing "water level low", when it isnt...

when i unplug it then plug it back in straight away, the pump kicks in and fills the reservoir untill it reaches the "eye" and then turns off like its meant too.

im out of ideas as to why it keeps on doing this....

any help?

thanks...

Is this unit new, has it worked properly in the past? When the pump triggers naturally how much water does it have to pump, and does it pump very high? I ask cause one of the reasons it will flash is if the unit has detected that it has ran for more than 10 minutes and has not reached the sensor. Or after you reset it to pump to the eye will it not pump again at all until it is reset?

Thanks for your reply.

The unit is about 1 and a half years old and has worked flawlessly in the past. It has only starting malfunctioning this last week.

It pumps up around 6'

After i reset it it pumps for about 30sec until it reaches the eye. Then i come home the next day after work and it is saying that its low again... Im not entirely sure if it never pumps again once it has reached the eye because im obviously not there by the time the water has evaporated....

Gotcha the only thing I could think of was the time constraint being hit but that would not be the case. The manual mentions dirty or kink in the hose or a defective pump as other possiblities, my guess is the the pump but will let Roger chime in a little later today as he would be far more certain than me.

This light indicates that the controller has signalled the pump to run for 10 minutes without topping up the tank to the optic sensor. Causes can include a bad pump, air locked in the pump so it runs without pumping water, a pinched hose, an empty reservoir, a corroded pump connection.

you missed another reason roger! the hose coming out of the pump!!! geez im a dick! pushed it back in the pump and its fine now! thanks for your help!!!
