Osmolator on Solana

I have had the osmolator now for about 5 days. setup per manual and tested sensor and float by moving up and down in return chamber and all works well. HOWEVER.....the 2 times it has actually run (at least twice) it has filled to well above the emergency float which is located about 1 inch above the optical sensor. I have tested in every manner, under all scenarios and can't replicate.

Is it possible, and what I suspect, for something like a turbo snail or cucumber to drape itself across the intake grates which would lower the water level in the return chamber, kick on the tunze, then the creature moves and the water is above the emergency float? If this is the case I couldn't figure out why I never noticed this when I was running the top off bottles. I suspect it is because the top off bottles drip at a much slower rate and haven't dosed near as much water as the tunze would in the same time frame.

I have never seen the pump run under real life circumstances so I cannot confirm this is the case. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Darren

That is certainly a possibility, you could add a valve as used for drip irrigation to the tube, you can pick these up at any hardware or garden store. You could lower the flow rate with this valve and see if that solves the problem.
