Osmolator optical sensor stopped working

My Osmolator is indicating that the level is full at all times, so I think the problem is the osmolator. The only time it pumps is when I plug it in and the green and yellow light both come on. Help?

So after this initial green and yellow start you get always a green light? How old is the controller?

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, that seems to be what is happening. The Osmolator is about 6 months old.

Edit - My original post should have said I think the problem may be the optical sensor. When the problem first started yesterday, I was able to get it working again by removing the optical sensor, and rubbing it off, then restarting the osmolator (i.e. unplugging then plugging it back in). But then it stopped again overnight, and I tried this again this morning, and could not get it working.

Try soaking the sensor in vinegar for a few hours, it may just have a mineral film over it.

OK I'll do that tonight.
