osmolator problems

I recently hooked up my osmolator and twice now it fails to shut off completely. It stops a full stream at the optical sensor, and then seems to just constantly drip, to the point where i get the water level high alarm going off. then i go down stairs and just wiggle the water line, and it seems to stop. It seems to either work perfect, or this.

I really like the system, but i need to get this resolved.

thanks

Is the end of the tube sitting as low or lower the the height of the water in the reservoir you are pumping from? It sounds like it is siphoning

Just reread and saw you have to go downstairs to the water line.... when it is dripping the pump is not running correct?

no both the tank and resevoir are downstairs, but i really dont think the pump is higher than the output line. I will double check, but i dont think thats it. any other suggestions? does it need to be several feet lower? worste case, it would be level with it.

Doesn't necessarily need to be several feet but try to have the end of the output line higher than the highest water level(not the pump) in the tank you are pulling from by a few inches.

If the end of the hose is below the water line in the reservoir it will siphon. The manual always shows pumping up to the aquarium for this reason.
