Osmolator with kalk

I have been really pleased with the osmolator, and recently started dripping kalk and like the results. I understand adding kalk to the toppoff water is hard on the pump, so what are my options? I'm not interested in a reactor, btw. Any idea how long the pump will last? I see on another post that you said the pump lasts up to 3 yrs. under normal use. I'll probably get a spare pump anyway, but really don't want to be switching out every couple months. I know I could go with a dosing pump, but I'd rather incorporate the osmolator. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Brent

I would expect about 12 months out of the pump as long as you dont pump slurry thru it. Would be lessened if it is.

I know you mentioned not interested in a Reactor but I would consider a 5074 Dispenser. Relatively inexpensive and will save your pumps

Thanks. I'm going with a dosing pump. I guess I could set it close, but just under my evap rate, and let the osmolator take care of the rest. Too bad there isn't a pump for the osmolator that would work well in limewater...

You could purchase the switched socket oulet for the osmolator and basically run any pump you like with it

To a point yes but I do believe with proper maintainence pumps like MaxiJets for instance will hold up better but since it would be running in solution more than one say mixing a reactor would take some work. So that being said still not a perfect answer.
