OT: 360 or ps3?

Keith I had both and sold the PS3. The graphics are a bit better on the PS3 but the online experience of the 360 is second to none. If you want a gaming console for shooting games and want an excellent online service - 360 if you want Bluray movies and crisper graphics than ps3.

I agree 100% and I am not much of a gamer...

Keith I vote PS3!!!!!Blueray!!!! Look into the problems 360 has before you consider getting on i read 1 in every 4 needs to be reconditioned / replaced with 12 months because they are made like $hit!!!!! but if you do go the 360 route PM i know i guy who mods them but then you can't get on the 360 Live but then you get free games so its something to consider (i'd rahter free games than internet) but them if it craps out on you out of the blue your screwed!!!!!!

Xbox 360 media sharing is very easy with Vista, MP11, and Media Center
PS3 can do media sharing with MP11
I have the xbox 360 and I use it mostly for media sharing. the games are good.

Here, I'll make it easy for you.

Do you want to play this?

And that's just Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, available in April. The full Gran Turismo 5 will be out late this year or early 2009.

lol GT5 is going to be insanity, like I said. I've seen the high def videos, and I'm very very excited.

Xbox has had more titles previously. This past 6 months, and going forward, there has been and will be many many more titles coming out, and really awesome ones at that. I hate to admit it, but the first 8 - 16 months were kind of dead water for the PS3, not much going on except for a few good titles. Now they're cranking them out as fast as possible, and with great games too.

xbox live has provided many hours of pure unadulturated fun for my wife and I. She loves to listen in while I play and laugh at all the people talking smack. The graphics on PS3 are sick, but the 360 and live are just too much fun to pass up.

If you want the best game system out there buy the Xbox360.

By a PS3 if you want a good blu-ray player... They haven't had a PS3 exclusive title come out in months- while the 360 keeps crankin em out every 2-4 weeks.

Hey PS3 fanboys-Where are your Gears of War,Frontlines,Halo 3,Mass Effect, & finally the game of the year.. Bioshock?

I have both- If you like games & playing on-line go with the 360. The PS3 is good for movies, thats all I do with mine..

Here's a song for all you RROD fanshttp://www.docadamsaudio.com/sarcasticgamer/ringoffire_sarcasticgamer.mp3

Huh? Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted Drake's Fortune, Unreal Tournament III (timed exclusive at least), MLB 08: The Show are all PS3 exclusives that have been readily released since November of last year. Plus starting next month you have Gran Turismo: Prologue, in May you have Haze, Metal Gear Solid 4 in June (likely the game of the year), then in fall you have Little Big Planet, Resistance 2, Motorstorm 2 and Killzone 2. Then end of year or early 2009 you will get Gran Turismo 5. In 2009 you get God of War III and Final Fantasy. Those are JUST the exclusives. There will also be many, many multi-platform games.

PS3's 2008 lineup is miles above the 360's 2008 lineup, in my opinion.

but this is exactly what I want...because I'd rather have the opinions of people who have gone through it all...vs. my my that pretty much knows nothing about these 2 systems other than what i've learned in the past couple days. I'm leaning toward the ps3...blueray. gran tourismo. internet. upgradablitity. and i really don't like halo that much. LOL. i love games like call of duty 4 and rainbow 6. so i feel that either system has games that i would like. i just gotta decide if buying new outweighs buying used. cuz ebay's got some nice used setups for cheap. not too sure though.

Keith, you said it. Blu-Ray, Gran Turismo (4 and 5, 4 is still awesome), internet, software upgradeability. You left out how sony always creates a console that doesn't reach it's prime until a year or more after it's release, once people start to figure out how to use it, and then it lasts 2+ years longer than the M$ equivalent or Nintendo equivalent, since it was made to be ahead of it's time (read HDMI, blu-ray, internet browser, media streaming (came with PS3 before it was released as an afterthought on the 360).

The only thing you've got me on is Geometry Wars and Marble Blast. The others don't interest me in the least bit (BioShock, GoW, etc).

BTW Keith, CoD4 is the best FPS I've played in a while. The story is pretty good, but the multi player is SICKKKKKK. I only play it on PC though, because FPS - (Mouse+keyboard) = lacks discipline.

Before you decide, take a few hours on each system and play live/online. As stated above, give gears a couple of hours. I'm sure youve got lots of friends with systems as many have chimed in here for both.

Good luck.

PS3 Here!!!

I guess my best argument for that is I don't think Mr. Gates needs anymore of our money :eek2:

So with sooo many PS3 Call Of Duty players out here anyone down for a few rounds?

My ID here is the same as my PS3 online ID.

Mr. Gates, is the world's MOST generous man, his foundation is giving out billions upon billions to the world's most needy, and very carefully not just throwing money into the hands of corrupt governments. I have a PS3 but who does Sony give money to? (The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is the trade group that represents the U.S. recording industry.) The people suing the kids downloading illegal music. If most major companies would give like Gates does, the world would be a much better place. Sorry to bring politics into the debate, but Microsoft saves countless lives daily. Also this is NOTHING against you, most people don't know, i didn't.

Hey big guy Relax.... or as we say Cojelo Suave con Take it easy men... :)

I see you’re into healthcare/IT. I myself am a Network Administrator. I've been a computer nerd for about 20 years so if Mr. Gates actually came before me I'd probably bow down, hehe. I'm a Microsoft guru/disciple so I know VERY well what Mr. Gates and the Microsoft community has done for our society.

But back to what I was saying, do you really think Mr. Gates really needs another penny of our hard earned mula???

Honestly... nope...

PS3 ALL THE WAY!!!

Now who's down for a butt whupping on COD 4 on the PS3???

back to ps3 vs 360, i love my ps3, the graphics are unreal since i am old enough to have played pong on my tv, back then it was unreal. It was also super easy to connect to my wireless network, and the Blu-ray player. I have never own a 360 though the gamers in my department like the 360 Live better.
