OT: Anyone Hireing!?

Man, maybe its just me, but the job market SUCKS right now. I was recently layed off and have been looking for a new job, but no one seems to be hireing. The ones that are just want to pay slave wages. I have been doing my own side jobs to pay the bills, but winters here and i wont be able to do them anymore.

Well if you guys know anyone, I am a journeyman cement finisher, have a lot of experience frameing and remodels, have a Class B commercial licence with airbrakes and tanker endorsment, very handy with electrical, plumbing, and well.... just one heluva guy.

Amerigas is hiring as well as trench plate rental, amerigas is on specialty dr . trenchpalte is behind the refuse plant at fruitridge and florin perkins. I got alot more . I just got hired in west sac doing LTL freight. call me if you want to 718-1117 Scott. Have some paper and pen ready.
 
I might have some odd jobs here soon if you are interested - although I only pay slave labor rates and most times you work for food... unless you are Paul, then I actually charge YOU to work for me. Ha!

Seriously though, hunting for a job just sucks all around, and i am sure you are aware, but just in case - are you familiar with the online tools available to you? (Dice, monster, sacjobs, etc.)
 
Bobby, good luck with the job search! Don't let yourself get down. Keep busy and keep positive! Be sure to follow up on contacts and potential jobs.

Thanks pete, ill give'em a try. There most likey looking for class A drivers though :(

scott - I dont have HazMat so i cant haul gas, and i applied a trench plate. Ill call ya about the others though.

Mike B- I Work for beer, not food :D, and yes, i have craigslisted, monsterd, carrerbuilderd the web to death!

well...I would need to see a pic of you in the outfit before making any firm commitments, but my floors could use a good scrubbing...Ha.

All jokes aside, good luck man, I know that it can be a bit discouraging out there at times, so keep your head up.
 
As well, if you know anyone with a property or looking to get into mortgage payments, I can work something out with splits etc. Give you extra cash in your pockets. I work wholesale, and my company has better rates than Countrywide, with good rebates etc. Not a job, but not bad in helping out in the $$$ category.

not sure alcohol delivery would be such a god idea for bobby. i think there would be alot of deliveries to his home address:)

Now that i think about it, my wife still has her paramedic uniform, maybe we should start our own Chip 'n Dales.... nevermind, i'll go back under my rock now.
 
I dont know how much electricial experience you have but i work for the largest electrical contractor in nor cal. They are always hireing. The name is Rex Moore Electrical Contractors & Engineers. But with the new Required Journeyman and apprentice certification requirement it would be hard for anyone starting out except for maybe a young person with few bills.

Market is not as crappy as what people think. Rates are still very low, and if there are people looking to get into homes, rates are low, and values are low = good opportunity.

But, hey will look out there for you.
