Market is not as crappy as what people think. Rates are still very low, and if there are people looking to get into homes, rates are low, and values are low = good opportunity.

Opposed to what:confused: San Jose?
This market is the cream of the crap here in good 'ol sacratomato. I bought a fixer in Antelope for 92k 10 yrs ago that you cant touch for less than 290k now. Virtually impossible for someone starting out now unless you wanted to do the mobile home or condo rout, but that's the main reason we all move out of apartments in the first place right? h8'd the upstairs downstairs thing....

Anyway, here's to you and your search bobby:beer: Your not alone my friend. Been unemployed for the past 3 months now, the market is rough and a good job few and far between, that is, when you can finally see past the crowd of vultures preying on the unemployed:rolleyes:

Justin hit it on the nose, My wife and I are looking at some Manufactured homes to buy early next year with our taxes. Thing that sucks about it is the interest rate is like 12% because the homes are only like 50K for a used/new one.

We were thinking about moving out to the midwest where houses are still under 100k and new tract homes are 175K

Housing market is the slowest its been since like the late 90s if I remember now.

Its a buyers market, but the market is slow and hurting. House's are not going for the high prices they used to be.

And because of all those sub prime loans are defaulting thats messing with the credit companies and messin with the economy.

Bobby,

Amador Transit Mix in Sutter Creek was hiring drivers a while back and needed belly dump drivers with a class A. I believe it was $18 or $19 an hr to start.

Check into the hazmat job if you really need a job, same with any class A jobs, a lot of these companies will pay to go get your hazmat endorsment, and your class A, especially if you already have class B experience.
I am a lot further north of you, and there are some jobs here, but the pay sucks compared to down there. You will come up here and get a job for $14 and hour for the same job you will make $20+ and hour in sac.
But our houses and stuff are cheaper...well atleast I think they still are.
Not to mention two major lakes, two volcanos..errr.. I mean mountain ranges! etc...

I just got a call back on my DREAM JOB!! GOD I HOPE I GET IT!! Its not that great of a job really, but its what i would classify as MY dream job :D. Thanks everyone for all the ideas and support. Its helped me keep the stress levels in check knowing im not the only one looking right now :D. I didnt know the wages were that different in redding, dosent seem THAT far away that they would change so much. Very nice up there though.

GOD I HOPE I GET THIS JOB!
