OT: Anyone know anything about home composters?

There are only two of us in a condo unit, but my wife is plant crazy, turning our balcony into a jungle and the home into a terrarium, lol. Given the amount of food waste that even our small family produces, I am interested in gettting a small home composter to go on the balcony. I am looking into three different types:
Automatic version like what NatureMill produces
Tray-type worm garden
Tumbler

Anyone have any experience with any of this stuff, or know some ideas on where I can get something used? Main criteria is that it has to be compact.

We have composted for several years now. I love the idea of giving back 10% of the bounty the earth has provided.

We have two earth machines. They connect in the ground so bugs are EVERYWHERE!!

If I could get off my butt and back into the yard, I'd get a tumbler. The inside needs to be warm and damp to really compost nicely and constantly turned for quicker breakdown. In a enclosed environment, I would give extra care to cut plants into smaller pieces initially for quicker breakdown.

I think I'd be scared to do it in an apartment. But, I'm just a chicken.

Oh sorry. You can go to a Dade waste management place. Google your local trash collectors. If I remember, a big ol tumbler was $50 and the earth machine was $10.

Jack I have a tumbler composter for sale. $25.00. It was never used as a composter. I would buy different orchid mediums and make my own mix. I used it to tumble the different mediums together.
