Last night I dreamed that I had purchased an S. Gigantea and that it ate my ocellaris. Then the ocellaris came back to life a day later, badly injured. I also put in my recently deceased ocellaris to see if it would come back to life, but it didn't.

What the heck?

!

Last night I dreamed that our hound poo'd on the hall floor...realized when I woke up...it wasn't a dream! :fun5:

Spooky.
When I was about 7 ,I had a parakeet. My sister who was about 4 at the time won it with a nice cage.at Palasades Park amusement park in New Jersey. She threw one of those little wooden rings over a coke bottle. I got throw 5 or so of them but my Dad insisted she get at least one chance over my objections since she could barely peer over the rail and thew like a little girl. She just chucked it and it landed dead on the bottle. Horay.
Happy was great we had him for several years . He would walk up my fingers and had a habit of flying to the front door latching on to the screen and watching the birds on the lawn. He would mimick them by walking around and pecking on the rug for worms. One day when I wasn't home, my cocker spaniel ,Sparky, retrieved Happy and broungt him to my Dad. The soft mouthed retriever didn't kill him but bruised him. For days he sat in his cage puffed up and a small discoloration/ bruise on his chest. He became very restless trying to escape the cage ,clawing and flapping his wings every time we opened the cage door blocking him with a hand.
One night , as I was dreaming, he escaped , flew out the door . I spent the night chasing him all over town running and riding my bike. Finally as he perched I reached out a grabbed him. To my horror , as he touched my hand he died . Had I crushed him in my hand? I awoke horrified; went into the living room to check on him and he was still huffed up in his cage.
I was still worried abut him but relieved that I hadn't killed him.

Later that day. I went to feed him and give him fresh water. He charged the cage opening with a frenetic flapping of his wings. I blocked him with the back of my hand spanning the cage door opening. He gently bumped my had and fell to the floor of the cage ,dead. I've never forgotten that and remember that touch vividly. It still makes the hairs on my arms bristle a bit. Happy lies in repose ,carefully placed in a cigar box ,padded with cotton, wrapped in plastic ,buried in the backyard of the house we lived in in Middle Village Queens.I still miss him.
