OT: Bobby Petrino

Petrino is nothing but a Punk and Jerry Jones is to. Last week he called Arthur Blank many times telling him the razor backs were interested in Petrino. What kind of an owner calls another to try and talk them in to giving up there head coach. Jones is an AHOLE.

You mean the Seahawk team that has swept the Niners 4 out of the last 5 years... I am sure when Holgren sees the Niners on his schedule, he has to go and switch out his depends

4 out of the last 5????

Let me dig up some all time stats..... you won't want to see the numbers ;)

Like I said, it is a dark time for our franchise. The Seahawks just happen to be the best of the worst NFC conference.

We will be back....

And yes, the AFC west is bad. But I still think the Chargers would beat the Seahawks or any other NFC west team for that matter w/out incident.

Look at the chargers road record...They may beat them at home (questionable) but Seattle would wipe the floor with the chargers in Seattle. This is this years Chargers...not last years.. BTW... who destroyed your season and wiped out your QB in San Fran this year while beating your Niners senseless??

Dig up your all time stats before you talk BTW next time Buddy... I will let you do the research... You will be surprised.

AND...Let's try and rememeber that besides B. Young these Niners have nothing to do with the Champions of old.. That was a LONG LONG time ago...like when you were in third grade

4 out of the last 5????

I am sorry you misunderstood 4/5....that was easons... I meant 8/10 games :D... This Niner roasting is fun because you know no matter how bad your team is...at least they will be better than the Niners for the next several years

BTW Jim...The NFC west is no longer the worst in Pro football..The AFC West is

WHAT???? Are you kidding me... The chargers would wipe the floor clean with any of those teams... raiders look in much better shape then the 49ers do. But it all dosent matter cause its all about the Cowboys and if the Pats can get by the colts full strength in the playoffs to have a rematch with them boys!

Oh man, don't even get me started on how much of a coward Petrino is. It's one thing to quit because this isn't what you signed up for, but the way he did it just makes you want to punch him, and I'm not even a Falcons fan! And what does that say about Arkansas for hiring him that same night?! Now to the rest of the league...

Singletary is probably the front running because of his name, but (sorry Cowboys fans) Garret is the best man for the job. They need someone offensive minded because their defense isn't that bad. They should have kept Schaub, but thats a whole other story. They are in a good position to grab the first QB from the draft and even though they aren't the best class, there is some good talent there and Garret can coach em up just like he did Romo.

The 9ers just need to start over! They have some of the pieces ie Gore, but they just dont use their picks very well. Mike Nolan, although a classy guy, isn't as good of a coach as his dad was. Alex Smith is a joke, although, he could be almost average if one of his lineman would block for him!

Norv Turner is not a genius! Had the Chargers continued to play Marty ball, theyd be in a better position than they are now. They shouldnt have let him or Breeze go but thats also another story.

With all that being said, I think this is one of the best years the NFL as a whole has had in a while. Its a sport writer's dream season. Look at all of the headlines this year alone! Vick, Brady, heck, we could see and undefeated team and a totally defeated team in the same season! The playoffs are going to be great as well. Even the first round game will be worth watching, well in the AFC at least!!! I'm going to sit back and enjoy the rest of this season and know that I will be celebrating when Peyton and the Colts repeat!!!!! (ok maybe not, unless they can get healthy!)

Why would the Pats take McFadden with their pick when they already have Marony?

I understood. 4 of the past 5 seasons.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but according to the all time stats: http://www.sf49ers.com/history/alltime_results.php :D

Seattle didn't start beating SF until 03'. Now I didn't go through it with a microscope, so there may be a couple of losses I missed. But it appears as if we OWN the Seahawks this 1/2 century... :D And even after we turned into the laughing stock, we still managed to dominate Seattle last year. Sorry Paul, had to do it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that the 9'ers are anywhere near great. We're far from it. But Seattle is no daisy either. They are just the best, of the worst. St Louis 3-10, SF 3-10 , Arizona 6-7.

And yes, we are nowhere near the teams of the 80's and 90's we once were. We have changed ownership, made poor decisions as a result, and yes, we are in a dark period as I said before. Just like the Seahawks were for the past 40+ years.

We will be back. Next year? Nope. This Decade? Nope. But we will be back.....

And no, Petrino will not be a part of our resurrection.

Its even funnier to roast on Seattle fans because they had a tiny taste of what its like to be a good team, and they think they're a dynasty... ;)

Agreed, but your boys are gonna have to get by a healthy G.B team to get there. Remember when they played G.B. didn't have KGB or Woodson. Two guys who make serious plays.

And Bret didn't play like Bret had played all year. We went back to lasts year Bret. Plus I think the Viks are gonna make some noise in the playoffs . . . can you say upset?

Wonder why bret couldn't play like he did...cowboys d maybe??? Vikes look good but going through dallas will be tough when dallas dosen't give much up to rushers when thats all vikings can do.

Cowboys D???????????????????????????????????????????????

On avg they are letting 310 total yards and 21.2 points per game. Nothing to write home about.

Their run D is decent, allowing 90 per game, but once again, nothing to write home about.

Favre had a bad game, and Dallas barely out played them. They let 27 pts go by in that game, and they were at home.

I know that Dallas was the better team that day, but G.B. will no push over if they meet again.

I dont think you understand

Jones called blanks as a friend letting him know that Petrino is slime and going to Arkansas but blanks didnt believe Jones cause bobby told blanks to his face he is here for the long haul!!!!

They did a pretty good analysis on NFL network on Sirius. Big critisism on the play calling, and asking Brett to do things other than what has been working all season long. It seems to me, that if you're an off. coord. and things have been going well all season, why would you change?
And, if you're the 49ers, and if what you have been doing all season isn't working, why wouldn't you? I do blame at least 2 losses on the playcalling. For instance, if you're down by 7 with 5 min to go, 4th and less than 1, inside the 20, why would you kick a field goal? Or, with less than 4 min to play, 4th and 2, down by 3, why would you punt? These decisions just make no sense what-so-ever.

The Cowboys aren't playing D like they did last year. This is the same Defense that made Aaron Rogers look like Peyton Manning when they played, although he might just be a pretty good QB in the future. Plus Jackson is becoming a good QB. With the running game that he has, any QB should look good and he's taking advantage of it. Im not saying they are going to the SB, I'm just saying that I wouldnt be surprised if they upset one of the NFC titans.

Agreed. Jones was looking out for Blank. Petrino is a snake in the grass. Jones was just trying to help.

Jones is a good owner. He cares about the game and winning, and isn't afraid to crack some skulls to make his team a winner.

I have to give it to Jones as well. He's willing to take risks that other owners aren't in order to win. He'll spend what it takes to keep his fans happy. I wouldn't call him an A hole, but he is a good business man

I thought this was kinda funny

Here's what Bill Belichick should do when he meets Eric Mangini at midfield following the Pats' 58-3 win Sunday: Hand Mangini a camcorder and say, "I don't know what I was thinking stealing your crappy team's signs. But feel free to tape ours."

LOL! Still wouldn't help. They don't have the roster to make it work.
