OT: Dog Bites

The whole situation w/ the dogs getting reported and put down after 2 bites or so is a touchy thing for me..
I dont know that I totally agree w/ that.. But at the same time by no means would I want a dog vicious biting kids or killing a kid when they escape... I guess there is no way of like saying well this dog gets another chance because its a puppy or whatever.. I dont know I'm just ranting.
But what I'm getting at is if the dogs behavior can be changed that to me is better then putting the dog down. ITS THE OWNERS FAULT thats the hardest part about accepting it to me.. Sounds like the dog is still young, not that you can't teach an old dog new tricks but they tend to catch on a bit quicker when they're younger.. I'd suggest training but it also sounds like shes in a bit of denial so that probably wont help either.

MY SIL doesn't want to hear anything about training this dog. I already tried. I'm gonna try to talk to her this weekend. I'm gonna tell her that my Dr wants to report the dog, unless I tell him she has entered the dog in some king of class. I'm sure the aggresiveness of this dog will be hard to cover up there.
