There is no point in attending college just to get a piece of paper. All that will get you is a pile of debt, a bunch of wasted time, or both. Find a major that interests you and work at it. The degree is important to have, but if you actually LEARN something, you will be far far better off.
Plenty of people take the approach of finding the easiest major and coasting through. They have a rude awakening afterward that their degree is worth less than the paper it's printed on.

totally agreed w/ bromion and jflip... for those suggesting 'study what you love' look at all the kids straight out of college w/ their soc, psych, anthro or philos degrees with absolutely no direction, leads or opportunities. that's just flat out poor advice.
calculate the cost of tuition these days at any decent school. calculate the cost of moving and the rent in that area. keep in mind that any serious full time student will not be able to hang w/ a full time job by any stretch of imagination. if you're investing 4 years and tens of thousands of dollars, you better be getting a degree that will land you a real and viable career.
business or finance degrees are pretty worthless these days... everyone knows how bad things are in that sector. i also know a handful of kids getting out of top tier law schools who just passed the bar and even then can't find work- after investing over 200k in their education. choose wisely, man.
a bachelors engineering degree can get you in the door to a lot of 80k+ jobs out there.
