My declining health hinders proper care for my koi pond. The weather is finally cool enough to safety rehome the kois.
There's a koi rescue group who can take the fish; however, I am interested in giving them to a fellow reefer who has a large, established pond. The kois range 10" to 28". The smaller ones are descendents of the larger ones, which were imported from Niagata about 14 years ago.
I am interested in giving them all to one person, since I do not want people to cherry pick, as the selection process can be stressful for the fish. Also, when the pond is drained for the safely removal, the pond cannot be properly filtered while waiting for another person to come by.
Please come with adequate containers, as these are large fish. They will not fit into 5-gallon buckets!
If you are interested, please PM me with the following information:
1. Age of pond
2. Size of pond
3. How many inches of fish current living in your current pond
While I can be idealistic, the person who can best care for these fish will be given the kois.
Thank you for reading.
