guys guys lakers -9 1/2 WOW laker hater i thought boston are good how come lakers givin them +9 1/2 embarrasing right

jay2525, if your argument that you've played d1 makes you more qualified to "see the game better"; that the celtics won because they were more aggressive... i'd have to say GET YOUR EYES EXAMINED.
the refs screwed the lakers in the first half and all but broke their spirit. with all your division 1 savvy, can you recognize that when you see it? so the refs gave us back a couple calls in the second half... compared to all the ones called against us in the first. then pulled the indian give move of the year by calling that horses#it call against fisher for breathing on paul pierce, in the midst of the most historic comeback in finals history. tell me how it's even possible for the lakers to play the aggressor when everything is ticky tack b.s. whistle bud.

agree with microbubbles........... i think its funny that ppl wont admit that there were really bad calls in that game.....did you also watch the first game it was bad calls on both ends of the court. The second game was just calls on the lakers it was BULLSHI*

Todays Riverside paper has an article this morning that sounds like it came from LA's PR department.

Finals deficit doesn't faze Lakers
Momentum can be elusive, but when it's captured, it can push one team to higher heights and leave the other gasping and wondering how it got away.

The Lakers saw the pendulum swing their way late in the fourth quarter of Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics, pulling Los Angeles along and helping it close a 24-point deficit and get within two points.

From PE.com

Like dropping the first two games is a positive thing. Lakers haven't really played THEIR game in the last two series with both defenses forcing the Lakers to change-up the offense to get anywhere.
As far as the officials it seemed to me it was clear early on how it would be called and teams need to realize that and play accordingly.

Who isn’t admitting that there were bad calls? I think we are saying that the calls (bad and favorable) are part of the game. Lets see tonights calls. Like I said before, when the calls go LA's way you guys will be saying the lakers are the best, Kobe for president and all that crap.

I think it’s funny that people are so infatuated with their team that they can’t bring themselves to admit that the team is being out played. Theres always an excuse. The fact is Kobe is settling for jump shots and Odom and Gassol are getting worked by the Celtics low post players. Worry about that, not fouls.

hence fans being short for fanatics...

Lakers win tonight
step one to evening the score

I was born and raised a Laker fanatic
I watched Magics baby baby baby hook win the finals when I was knee high to my father.
Purple and gold flows through these veins.
That was in the days when refs knew when and when not to blow the whistle.

If we want to call the officials on some bad calls when we lose
that is what fans do
we wouldn't be fans if we didn't question Pierces theatrics and bad reffing
Sure the boys have not been playing with the same flow we have gotten used to
Sure Boston beat us on the boards
Sure we lost
Plain and simple

And if we want to say
Kobe for grand champion ruler of the universe after we beat boston, that is our prerogative as fans

Laker hater, with all due respect I think you may need to change your occupation listing.

And I say this with repsect
Bostons D is tight
It's been 21 years since we had a showdown like this
They are a strong opponent
It's electric

Whatever happens I support my team

We win this at home tonight

I believe!

Okay guys. My friend and I are placing a friendly bet. I'm taking Lakers and he'll give me an 8.5 spread. So Lakers has to take it by 9 points.

What do you think? Yay or nay? 9 points is dang... a lot. My fragile ego is on the line since I've lost 2 in a row on the Lakers so far.

:(

That depends on who has a chance for a meaningless 3 point shot with just seconds on the game clock.
