OT: Go Lakers!

I do want the Lakers to win but mostly I just want to see the series to keep going. Once it's over all I'll have left to watch requires 45 seconds of my life to go by between pitches.

Lakers win tonight
step one to evening the score

I was born and raised a Laker fanatic
I watched Magics baby baby baby hook win the finals when I was knee high to my father.
Purple and gold flows through these veins.
That was in the days when refs knew when and when not to blow the whistle.

If we want to call the officials on some bad calls when we lose
that is what fans do
we wouldn't be fans if we didn't question Pierces theatrics and bad reffing
Sure the boys have not been playing with the same flow we have gotten used to
Sure Boston beat us on the boards
Sure we lost
Plain and simple

And if we want to say
Kobe for grand champion ruler of the universe after we beat boston, that is our prerogative as fans

Laker hater, with all due respect I think you may need to change your occupation listing.

And I say this with repsect
Bostons D is tight
It's been 21 years since we had a showdown like this
They are a strong opponent
It's electric

Whatever happens I support my team

We win this at home tonight

I believe!

I realize that it is your perogative. You've made my point for me. Your opinion is biased. Mine is not. Im a fan of basketball. I like to see competitive games.

I agree, if I had to pick I'd say LA will win a close game tonight. Look for Boston to come out with a chip on their shoulder because of all the ref talk. I think they want to prove everyone wrong. Should be a good game.

When this is over basketball is over, that's the sad part.

Those WNBA commercials aren't working for me.

Do you have any allegiance to any team?
Or is it just you and basketball in general?

Not really. I was a Laker fan growing up. Over time I've found myself pulling for individuals. Guys who've been in the league for a long time and havent won championships (Garnett in this series). I'd like to see him and Ray Allen get a ring.

If Boston was playing any other team for the ring I would be rooting for the big ticket.
I could care less about Allen.

But since they are up against the Lakers............well you know.

Basketball is about a team enduring the ups and downs through a period of time together to win a championship. One as a fan should not feel or root for any team because one person on it deserves it more. Thats BS.

All of Bostons players are new playing amongst each other, and your rooting for them because there is one player on there that deserves one:rolleyes: KG... The only one that deserves a ring on that team is Paul Pierce. No one on that team endured what that man has in the last couple years in Boston.

Like the (Kobe, Shaq, Payton, and Malone) once on the same team. Only Shaq and Kobe were deserving of a ring that year not malone and payton... I didnt care that they lost that year. Thats not what the games about.

Kevin Garnett winning a championship in MN would have been better for him and the franchise. To me it would be like winning the lotto but you cant share the fortune with the people that have had your back and nurtured you since day one.

Even though KG has outworked and showcased his talent on many levels this ring means nothing even to those who thinks he deserves one. Its a team sport, not an individual overworking everyone so he deserved one. Man up and take the loss like all the greats that battled till their days were up with their team.

I dont get it. Guys in the league today are not nearly as loyal as you might think they are. News Flash: Kobe was begging to be traded a year ago. Was he a sell out?

Rooting against a guy for leaving a team and going to a new one to try and win a championship is BS. Thats lame homer thinking. When Shaq left and won a championship with Miami that was awsome for him and I was happy.

Yea its lame. If Kobe would have left I wouldn't have cared. IF he were a championship contendor I wouldnt have cared. Im a Lakers fan. Not a KOBE fan;)

I don't care if they win against Boston either. After what I saw in games one and two. The way Kobe has been directing his team is childish. Hes screaming and yelling at them so loud for their mistakes that even the people in the arena are making fun of this situation. Kobe was not like this in the post season... Hes probably emo or something, but he better take care of his guys cause their rolling eyes at him with an expression of " whatever dude" at this point. Thats not a team. Thats BS. At this point I dont care really.

But if I were an individual follower, solely a KOBE fan and wanted to pull for him because he is the hardest working basketball player in the league.. I guess I can root for him to win a ring every year untill he retires.

You act like MN didnt benefit from him being there. They made plenty of revenues from him being there. If the club really cared they should have made moves to bring in players to help him. They didnt so he left.

Completely agree ... KG is a great player. I would really like to see him get a ring ... if he just wasn't playing against the Lakers.
I've been a Lakers fan a long time and it doesn't matter who's on the other team. I always root for the Lakers.

I still say Lakers in 6.:D
