OT Grouper Fishing

nice fish banker yea should be pretty good with the cooler water might get something good
too bad i broke my camera maby well have one there we can post pics when we get back
now i really need to get out of work so i can go home and drink and go to sleep

Oh yea.. I think about 4-5 bags should be good. Im bringing a cooler and the boat could use ice too. So however much you think would be good. And if you have any other coordinates you want to try bring em! I hope NOAA is right...

alright ill stop by work in the morning and just fill up some buckets
ill ask the boss if he has any hed like to share with me ill also look around here for some broke down fishman co-ordinates that needed jumpstarts too

update on conditions off shore right now 5 miles out is about a foot seas and winds about 8-12 MPH and beautifull . i just had a captain com in from out there so looks real good

LOL not to bad but not to great but caught a buzz mike got a 21 inch red grouper and almost a 3 ft sand shark a first for him on both i got a lizard fish and some other thing small
but i tell ya itr wasent from the lack of "CHUM" in the water we had some pretty pile fellas on the lil boat lol
 
10 fish 2 hrs 1 keeper all inside the bay trolling 25ft of water 4 to 5mph.

dang nice fish if ya ever need a 3rd let me know ive never trolled for grouper well see if mike can get some pics of the shark actually he was more like 4 ft but interesting . but man i am sunnnnnnnnnn burrrrrrnt

I like to see a pic of the shark. I will not go swimming in the bay anymore, I caught to many bulls in very shellow water.

Next time I go I will give you a heads up. I have to warn you tho, my tow insurance is your Competitor :)

We went out to a great spot... Hit the grouper and would have kept catching them but man it was rough... The winds blowing west suck! Yes I threw up but.... I couldnt stop fishing over good water.

Next time im going to do some trolling in the shipping channels.

Just curious, on a boat that size and trolling for several hours, what does it run you in gas? The reason I'm asking is because there is someone I know, and I want to offer to buy all the gas and bait if he'll take my husband and myself fishing. I just want to know a ballpark figure. Am I looking at $75 of $500????
 
well if you take the double eagle or any other deep sea fishing trip its anchored and you bottom fish no trolling and it would be 65 bucks for every thing per person fer 8 hours and they run almost every day . pack em up and lets go tomorrow

Oh man... well Fishing (GAS) is really expensive.. If you want to run out into the gulf... depending on the size of the motors and 1 or 2 could run you up to 250 for gas if you had two motors... But you would get there faster with 2 motors also = more fishing time. You can troll the channels in the bay all day for not that much in gas especially if you have a single 4 stroke. I usually run a 18 ft CC in the bay. You can fish for grouper or hit the flats in the same day. If you really want big grouper you gotta go out where other boats normally do not go.
 
In my boat I can run 90 miles out @ 27mph and use 30ga of gas. I have a 250 hp ficht and 115 ga tank on a 21 hydra-sport CC. Thats about $70 bucks for a good day of fishing and diving

21 foot Hydra sports SWEET. My buddy has a 21 foot HS tunnel hull. I swear that boat will run on plane in 6 inches of water with a jack plate.

I guess you are filling up at a gas station and not the marina??
 
6 5ga cans running back and forth to the station. I live on the water. Mine is a deep v. I need to get a tunnel hull....I wish
