Due to red tape issues with a certain government entity, my job position is being deleted at the company I work for - code for I got laid off on Friday and have two weeks to find a new job (in order to support the hobby of course!) :)

I'm in the market for a new career path and figured it wouldn't hurt to throw a post up and see if anyone had suggestions on where to look. I have a BS in Environmental Resource Management with a minor in Wildlife & Fisheries Science. I've got experience in wetland delineations/remediation and endangered species identification work. Anyone have advice on where to look?

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Wow... sounds like you're pretty much dependent on the gov! :)

Are you willing / can you relocate?

I have a friend in Iowa (who is also a reefer :) ) who just got a job out there doing something for the gov in biology... couldn't tell ya specifically, but he may know something.

Check out TVA. I've heard they have a Nashville office and I used to work for them in AL doing environmental stuff (soil and water remdiation). I'd also check with some of the environmental engineering firms in town.
