OT: Kobe wants out!

You would take him over Duncan????
I would rather have Duncan, Lebron, Dirk, Nash, Wade, Oden, and they are all good TEAM players... Notice they all have been more successful than Kobe LEADING their teams. W/O Shaq, Kobe has done nothing and he is in HIS PRIME!!! Kobe is like a gorgeous SPS....with acro eating flat worms :eek2:

First and foremost, Kobe is not a leader. He does not have the personality or instincts to lead and inspire others. He is, however, the most gifted offensive player since Chamberlain...and he plays D. All of this would have been avoided had Kupchak not choked on the Kidd deal (blasted idiot).
In Kobe's defense he hasn't had nearly as talented a supporting cast (since Shaq left) as Duncan, Dirk, Nash, or Wade. Lebron has even less to work with, but his team's success is testament to his ability to lead (he's a perfect hybrid of Jordan and Magic, and what Grant Hill almost was).

There are dips for flat worms huh? Like the one for Kobe, Artest, Rider, ect ect.... I guess I am being too hard on Kobe... Its not like he raped anyo..... Oh never mind!
As long as we are in Fantasy land, let's go back and get Shaq. Put him back on the Lakers, and instead of doing the trade for him, trade Kobe for Wade. Then the Lakers would have had 2 more titles and the Heat would be in shambles.
And Karl.... Did you just say Wilt to Kobe??? I believe you owe a sincere apology to his Airness who played offense, defense, and anything else besides shot blocking or rebounding better than Wilt or Kobe!! Jordan was just like Kobe in his early years, then he learned how to lead and won 6 titles. He IMO is the greatest offensive player ever born!! What scary is he is also the greatest defensive gaurd ever as well.

I have trouble putting Kobe ahead of Wilt, just from shear dominance, but today's 'slower-paced and complicated-defensive-scheme NBA' is much different than Wilt's or MJ's era. There aren't nearly as many offensive possessions in one game, so the fact that Kobe's able to put down 81 from anywhere on the court, is reason enough to put him in the top 2 at least.
I'm not saying he's better than MJ (no where near it). He just has a slight edge when it comes to putting the ball in the hole.

Crazy statements. Ok, i cannot stand Kobe. But to take Oden an unproven pro over Kobe? Lakers are very glad you arent there GM.

Yeah, Shaq is awesome. But who is to say he would have won those championships if Kobe wasnt there? i dont think he would have.

Dirk MVP is a huge joke. Nash should have won it again. they just didnt want to have Nash win it 3 yrs in a row.

Dirk was the key to a team that won 67 GAMES!!!! That award was not a joke but a no brainer!!!!!!
As for who thinks Shaq would have won titles w/o Kobe, You are in the vast minority. Shaq dominated the league at the toughest position there is to get a quality player. He owned the middle and was the SOLE key to the championships. Kobe did very little in the first championship where Shaq dominated. BTW... Shaq reached the finals w/o Kobe TWICE and won a title.... Kobe can't reach the second round
The fact that you had to dig back to the 84 draft to get Bowie proves my point.... There are drafts like last year where there is not a ton of hype on the #1 pick. The players such as Bagnagni,(I am sure that is mispelled) Bogut, Olowokandi, and Bowie ect are chosen as the best available. When certain players such as Duncan, Shaq, Lebron, Ewing( who made the draft start going to a lottery) come around there is no other palyer anyone would choose. When those players come around all 13 teams in the lottery have a jersey ready with their name on it! Oden is one of those, especially at the center position!! This is a special draft because there are 2 of those with Durant too but Oden gets the nod because he is a center. I believe that the Lakers would probably trade Kobe for Durant as well however. I just hate players who are only about themselves. If Odom was on a team with Lebron or wade or Dirk or Nash, He would be an all star. That is why the lakers cant get the real talented free agents to play beside Kobe. After the Shaq (who was loved by his teammates) fiasco noone want to play with Kobe. He has unreal talent, but as good of a player as he is, he is equally as bad a teammate.
