Here's a hint... Gibson.

FWIW Les never approved of the final Gibson Les Paul guitar design. He was originally known for his recordings with Mary Ford, but nowadays most people associate his name with the guitar. Gibson Guitars has many ties to New York.
Orville Gibson (the company namesake and founder) was originally from Franklin County. One of the guys that saved Gibson (back in the mid '80's) is originally from Rochester, NY and currently serves as chairman & CEO:

One of the biggest mistakes I've ever made was selling my Les Paul to purchase a chiller for my aquarium. Oh well, live and learn.

I can't believe Les still does that gig.
OTOH it's probably one of the reasons he's still going strong.

Not everyone who is anyone is able to afford McIntosh (however much we may aspire to!)
Some of us have McIntosh tastes but a Denon budget.
Still, it must have been very cool to see the equipment used by a legend.

Do be prepared for the $20 cover (Though it's worth it), and the $15 Hendrick's & Tonic I drink (A $7 drink in Buffalo, and prolly Bingo), or $12 Guinness. Amazing show; amazing musician; worth the drive.
But, heck, it's Les-frickin-Paul. And it's a fairly small club. It would be about half the size of whatever they call the old Chuck-E-Cheeze country bar (I forget the name.)
If you're ever up in this neck of the woods, it's like seeing a show at the Tralf. Awesome location...

Yup That Stuff
hey guys, so i finally got Les Pauls 50w-2 amp back to gether and as clean an shiny as i could posibly get it. Now it is off to Jersey and then it will be shiped to its final resting place in the Smithsonian Institue of Tech. I am not sure why or what they have planed for it but that is where it is headed. I will post some pics tonight cause i cant dl a editing program to shrink the pics on this comp at work.
