Yes i work at McIntosh labs. This particular amp set was the 50w-2 it was built in 1957ish and the trans was shorted so it would not run. the tubes that are in it were 6L6G, 6U5, 5U4G RCA's and 12A7A.
here it is... also he sent in 2 months ago his personal reciever I believe it was a Mac 4100. It is a solid state reciever.

I never had any Mac audio gear but I know a little bit about tube amps and guitars (I used to play). I used to deal with MXR/Whirlwind Audio in Rochester. See this related link:

I used to know Micahel L. (the owner of Whirlwind) really well. All my tube amps were Boogies and Marshalls and we used a lot of Whirlwind Audio gear. I had the privelege of meeting Jim Marshall (amp inventor from England) and a lot of other people in the industry but I never met Les Paul.
In fact, even though my amps are long gone I still have some tubes stashed away somewhere around here... do they ever go bad?

i want to go to the city some mon and see les play. i am tryin to talk a friend who i am goin down with on this mon night to pick up some fish to stop off there to see him play...

umm tubes usually dont go bad from just sitting as long as they dont indure any shock from moving or droping. should still be good esp if they are only little peanut tubes.

Jim Marshall = way kewl guy. I think all my tubes were stored safely in a gig bag somewhere so they should be good. Some have probably never been used- they were backup/emergency spares. If you see Les play make sure to post here!

we talked to the club and you have to be there at 6 to get in at 8 and it is like 40 cover and a 20 min drink...have to do it when i mon off to get down there earlyer...lol...
we dont go down to the city that way. rt 17 is the worst road to drive on in the USA...lol...we take 81 down and go threw jersey. it is bout an hour faster as well as you dont have the road that goes...da dat...da dat...da dat...lol...
