OT:Moving to Sacramento

THanks matt, good article....

Even more reason why we should lock them up for life and throw away the key.

But thats the problem, we dont.... SO since we dont, shouldnt they be able to Try and lead normal lives and redeam themselves?

So why dont we have a database of all the murderers that are out on probation and parole and such, why only one group. What about convicted fellons, robbers, thiefs. I think if there is a system for one, there should be a system for all.

I thought the main plank in your Pedophile Rights platform was the invasion of privacy issue. So, by your logic, if one group is unfairly persecuted and violated, all should be unfairly persecuted and violated?

Supaboy, dude, Roseville is nice, but if I were you I would check out Des Moines or the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul area and get away from this lunacy.

So who do we blame?

The courts and government, The people?

The judge assigned him 5 years out in 3 for being a good boy, So someone murder's someone and they get 25 to life. hmm One your dead and not there to know and the other, you have to live with for the rest of your life and they are out in 3..... ( those years are just hypothetical)

Anyone else see whats wrong?

They make such a big deal about this issue, but yet enforce it with light sentences and terms.

Why arn't they locked up for life? murder and rape, worst things that can be done. yes one is like a slap on the wrist compared to the other.

So why dont we have a database of all the murderers that are out on probation and parole and such, why only one group. What about convicted fellons, robbers, thiefs. I think if there is a system for one, there should be a system for all.

The reason for this law is to "Make" people feel safer and more aware, but dont you worry about your house being broken into and you being shot and robbed.

Honestly how often do parents think about rapist and sex offenders and the meganlaw website. Id like to know who here thinks about it and how often.

Ill be the first to answer..... Never, only time I think about it is when someone say something about the website or law, Or the news does a story about the law. Other then that, I go on with my life.

Please don't sit there and try to give these wack jobs an excuse to ruin a persons life let alone a childs life. Our lack of a good judicial system is no excuse for these type of crimes. At least a lot times a murderer or robber is trying to feed there family ( still no excuse), these wack jobs are just trying to get off for the night.

I don't worry about someone breaking in my house and robbing me cause personal items are replaceable, as far as being killed he better pull his trigger first cause I would do what ever it took to protect my family.

I never looked up Megans law website until 3 years ago when my son was born. Now I look it up at least monthly. Just a couple months ago some sicko tried to lurer a little girl in his car with his dog at the park about 4 blocks from my house. ( hit a little to close to home).

OK guys here is the deal I will be there on a somewhat permanent status starting Sept 1st. From then till the 11th I will be off work just hanging around discovering my new town. Any ideas of what I should do or even on of you good neighbors wanna grab a beer or so?? Maybe show me around town?

I am living in Citrus heights not far from Roseville. Setting up a 24 nano cube that I havent gotten yet. Anyone have one to trade or sell??

Theres stuff going on usually downtown bars, clubs etc, your best bet for getting the best ideas is pic yourself up a Sacramento News&Reviews, there free usually by a newspaper stand and or starbucks. Theres a lot of live music in this town as well as pitstops for concert artists at arco arena(yes, and sac kings). Theres fishing along the river, or up in the surrounding hills, we got Folsom lake for all your rec. needs with trails if you like to hike or mt.bike like me.Snows an hour and half away, and so is the ocean.Glad to see this thread didnt scare you, it did me:lol:

The ocean is only an hour and a half away?!?!?!?!

what about free NSW??

The SF bay isn't what I would exactly call "Clean" to get good SW you need to go offshore a little.

Best to control it and make your own.

Well obviously I would since 1 1/2 hours to get NSw for a nano isnt exectly what I call economical. I was just excited that the beach is only 1 1/2 away instead of 3 like I was informed some time ago.

It probably depends on what you call the ocean.....I thought you would be assuming the coast, which is about that far away (3hrs)

Depending on the traffic it can take 1.5-3hrs to get to SF, and I have experienced both.

I call the ocean the ocean, whatchu callit?

:D It sounds like he just wanted to know if there may be a location while hes there that he could tank up on some NSW that a few coastal towns have piped in from offshore. It is all about timing though, like on weekday morning you could leave and be sittin on a blanket twitching your toes in some sand feeling the salt spray and watchin windsurfers within 2 hours ez from sac.

I thought from his comment on the distance and free NSW, that I thought he wanted to get NSW instead of making it.

This 1.5hour drive would put him in the bay, hence my comment of "ocean" and that one would want to go to the beach at the least to get water, because I would assume that some would think the bay SW is good enough. In addition the time I have experieced going to SF, which on AVERAGE is more than 1.5. I have spent some evenings on 80 an hour just to get to outside of Davis from Sac. (One Saturday evening I remember taking 3hrs and being in bumber to bumber on the bay bridge at 10pm at night with no construction delays or "rush hour")

I just want our new friend to realize, the Bay and Coast are close, but travel times and traffic varies.

Just trying to point out, that that 1.5 is not garunteed and does not happen frequently. At least to me.

dang! Getn heavy. I know what you were trying to convey. I was giving him the half full cup version, not the half empty one :p Was also trying to keep the thread a lil more positive and upbeat, seeing how this was beat down with OT stuff.
