OT: NBA Playoffs

i will have to disagree with u on this one...the lakers are playing WAY more agressive...not getting calls bc they are the home team(look at kobes tech) they are getting calls bc of the way they are playing

wow look at my threads i said bos by 11 game one they win by 10 i said bos by 5 game 2 they win by 6 i said lakers by 6 game 3 they win by 6

who wants me to place bets for them?

pretty sure when the lakers lose the series 4-2 im going to by a kobe jeresy to wipe my but bc hes so over rated....good job kobe u actually showed up tonight no imagne laker fans whats going to happen in game 4 when kg and peirce show up......celts by 4 game 4

I remebering watching that game 6 while I was in college, among tons of Lakers fan at a place call the Shack in San Luis Obispo. I was pulling my hair out yelling the game is fixed during the 4th quarter and what do you know the truth comes out.

Yes, the NBA is taking it right in the chops right now. I've been saying it for years, the fix is in guys. Whether we like it or not :(

It is what it is i guess. Every sport is garbage except football. Baseball with Roids will always have a taint. Think there is no doubt the NBA/Stern and ABC definitely wanted a ratings buster with lakers/Celtics and i think we saw some calls in the last series that proved that. Not taking anything away from either team here. They both had great regular season

Davey, I think all sports are tainted, including football. There's just too much money involved for someone NOT to want to cheat.

Karl, I also think this series hasn't lived up to the hype of the rivalry, but it's understandable. These players are so far removed from Bird and Magic that's it's kinda hard to be in "rivals" mode, especially when all of the prior meetings really hadn't been so much about blood rivals, but rather two NBA teams. The other thing that I think is attributing to that is the Celtics captain, Paul Pierce. The guy grew up in LA as a die hard Lakers fan. Its kinda hard to hate the team you cheered for growing up!

OP1, like Davey said, Odem and Gasol didn't show up either last night. Right now, this series has been all about defense and the bench. Whoever wins those two battles will probably win the game.

Lots of guys can play through the 3rd quarter, but the 4th is when you separate the men from the boys.

Cool,

How's game five gonna turn out so I don't have to watch? :D

Wow...I am stunned.

But I came in to take my beatings like a man.

All through the 4th I kept seeing Reggie Miller in my mind as he ran by Spike Lee with his hands in the choke formation. We crumbled like a cookie...

Yeah, that had to hurt. I thought it was over. Kobe in the first half was driving and dishing out getting everyone involved. Then it seens he went back to old Kobe.

What a let down from odom he started great and then went MIA in the 2nd half

2008 NBA Choke artist of the year............................Los Angeles Lakers!! Luckily me and the wife were at dinner for our Anv. I did see a lot of the 4th and all I can say about my team is............They don't deserve to win!!

Well, once they got the big lead they didn't seem as agressive as the beginning. Odom didn't see the ball as much and they could not box out. They went and pounded the ball early and got the bigs for the Celtics in foul trouble. They stopped doing that and started shooting jump shots, no rebounds, and missed free throws. Kobe didn't get enough looks early, and Turiaf was in the game at the wrong time. He should have been in the first half get warmed up and loose, rather than crunch time. He had to battle against players who were loose and had minutes, vs. him trying to get loose and match the intensity (bad on Jackson's part).
Doc started to foul and trade possesions. Since they were shooting bad on the line why not trade possesions for free throws right? Oh well, if the NBA is fixed then expect the LAKERS to win the next 3. I just like the product I am watching.

I've been hearing that this was one of the greatest comebacks ever and I had to miss it to go to a graduation ceremony!!! Although, it seems like we were on the wrong end of history . . .

cross your fingers and hope to be on the right end at the end of the series... NO TEAM has come back to win the finals down 3-1.
I am just in it to watch some good b-ball.... So I hope L.A. can do as much as they can to extend the series and I will watch. Hopefully Phil will watch tape for the next two games and shut down the "C's". For someone that was won 9 titles, I was surprised at his decisions... Then again, he didn't win 9 for no reason....

the newscaster said that some of the seats there went for $20,000. If I were them, I'd want my money back! That was sooooo painful to watch :mad2:

The Lakers were not scoring twords the end, and well, not acting like Lakers!
