OT: NBA Playoffs

ughhhh, I couldn't watch the last minutes.:(

Well congratulations Celtics, they deserved it. :bum: :celeb1:

Very debilitating loss for the Lakers. I don't see how they can recover, ala the Mavs.

I'm really happy for KG!

Davey, Everyone knew PP would get the MVP. It routinely goes to the one with the most PPG (the ESPN effect). However, a purist would know that KG is far more instrumental to the C's success.

CONGRATS BOSTON!!!

Guess we will just disagree, I think Pierce deserved the MVP. YOU cant say who is more important without Pierce they dont win, Without Kg they dont win

It just amazes me how loyal people are in and around Sacramento are, so many of them are Lakers fans, why in N. Cal and not S. Cal., Must be a lot of Kings fans in S. Cal. Must be the tap water or did I get my geographic dimensions incorrect.

Well in all honesty i am not this huge Celtics fan. I do like them and really wanted the Big 3 to get rings. KG is a class act.

First of all, Congrats to Boston for winning it all. I am also VERY happy that KG got his ring, although I wish it wouldn't have come against the Lakers, but he deserved it and many more. I was ashamed last night at the effort the Lakers put forth. Karl, I think this will actually help them in the long run. I DO think they can recover from this for one reason only Kobe. He has that killer instinct that just flat out wants to win. I'm sure even the Kobe haters can attest to that. I don't think he will let the Lakers sit and sulk over this. I actually think they overachieved this year. if you look back to the beginning of the season, no one had them in the Finals or even the playoffs for that. They are very young and with the addition of Bynum as well as the growth of Ariza, I think we will be back next year.

Boston, sit back and enjoy all of the perks that come with being a champion. You played your hearts out every minute of every game. Congrats!

I think the reason there are so many Lakers fans is due to a couple reasons. First they have been around for a long time and are one of the oldest franchises. Second, they are one of the most (not the most) winningest teams in pro basketball (yes I count the championships in Minnesota! ;)). Third, LA is HUGE. People relocate and take their loyalties with them. Lastly, because of Kobe. Like hom or not, he's got star power.

Dare I ask, who's the favorites next year?! ;)

Boston. They will still have awesome D!

You Laker fans sure put a lot of stock in Bynum what make syou think he will stay healthy?

Congrats to the Celts. I have always like The big 3 and am happy for them although I wish it wasn't against the Lakers. The Celts came to play and the youngsters didn't nor did Kobe care to show up ( all though Boston did defend him better then I have seen).

Karl, the one I see this effecting most is maybe Kobe. Most of the other guys are young and can get past it. Odom and Gasol have choked under pressure there entire career and that won't change. I don't think they have anything to be ashamed of losing to the best team in the NBA this year. They are young and if they get past this loss we may see Lakers and Celts for the few years!

Davey, up until the last 2 games KG was my pick for MVP but after games 5 and 6 Pierce just destroyed the Lakers from every spot on the court!!

I have been a Lakers fan since the Kings were playing in KC, no way would I ever switch just to be a "homer" hahaha J/K

Like I have always said though NFL is #1 in my book

"Are you ready for some football!"

yeah you cant switch teams. I loved MJ. SO in turn loved the bulls. But after he retired i have really found it hard to like a new team i tried to like the kings but just didnt work. SO now i think i found a team. The celtics:) J/K

agree there is nothing like the NFL. I just love it and love Fantasy Football. look forward to both every year

LOL!!! Davey's gonna go out and buy a PP jersey! ;)

I really hope Bynum does stay healthy though. He doesn't really have a history of injuries and the one he had this year was one of those freak occurrences, although I guess it could happen again. Bottom line is, you have to assume your starters don't get hurt. If they you, you cross that bridge then.

LET'S GO COLTS!!!

Got one Rudy soon as i knew he would get the MVP ran down and grabbed one also putting the Celtics sticker on my bumper as i type:)

I've always been a die-hard Cleveland fan. Since the days of the greatest 2nd Round draft pick Mark Price to the all-mighty Lebron. And, it's not just Basketball, it's baseball too. Of course, last year was crap. I can't stand Boston!
