Something cool i did this last weekend was the community olive press at the McEvay olive ranch in Petaluma out on D street. They do a community olive press two times a year. GF and I pick the olive tree in the back and brought the olive to the press and had them turned to olive oil. VERY COOL tour and process. We picked for 2 hours each and only picked 10% 0f the tree, very hard work and only filled 1/2 of a 5 gallon bucket, it was 18 lbs and we get 6 oz of oil! We pick it up on tue, i think it is free for the press but it cost for the container. I have a new respect for olive oil. they are all hand picked so now I know why it cost so much. You can take a tour of the place we didn't do it cause it was raining and I think it is $60 a person with lunch. But it was really cool. So if you guys are looking for something to do local it's a cool trip and a nice drive out D street. On the way back we went to Marshall and had some BBQ'd oysters and watched the ocean then went thought Tomalas and pick up new paint for the living room. So I didn't get a thing done on my tank this weekend =( but it was fun minus painting the living room...according to the GF it was the wrong color so now we need to repaint......killing me! At least it is still masked!
PS: I went to a comedy show in SF the other week and saw William Chow, he is supposed to be on Comedy Central soon. This guy is freaking funny! He is a 6'2 Korean that grew up in Alabama with a big accent! You guys gotta watch him, time well spent.
