OT: RC Planes for sale

NeveSSL

Got tubes?
Hi all!

This is copied and pasted from my craigslist ad. :)

I have two model airplanes for sale. First one is a WildThing fixed wing .30 sized plane. Great flier. Kind of like a "Stick" of sorts. It has an OS .60 size 2-cycle on it and will flat-out rip it up! Tons of power. Has receiver and servos installed and ready to go. It does need a little attention to the rudder. Its a pull-pull system and it got a little epoxy on it and is stuck. Other than that, all it needs is a transmitter! Second plane is a Tower Hobbies trainer .40. Great starter plane that flew really well the one time it was flown. :) This one doesn't include an engine (although the other one could be transferred if you want to fly NOW without any extra cost) but does have a BRAND NEW Futaba flight pack in it! That cost me $100 by itself. It has the BB servos in it FWIW (S3004s I think). Also included is 3 gallons of WildCat 15% fuel (2 or 3 years old, but have ALWAYS been stored inside and should be good to go), small Tower Hobbies field box, electric starter (extremely nice to have), electric fuel pump and tubing, extra props, several new glow plugs, etc. This is a great setup for someone who is wanting to get started. All you would need is a transmitter and you'd be ready to go! Feel free to make me an offer on the Futuaba 8USuper if you'd like it and its aluminum storage box as well. If you have any questions or would like to come see the planes, just let me know! Thanks!

And for the pics:

Julie had a filling come off of her front tooth and now has a hole in her smile, so I'm trying to sell these so we can get her spackled back up. :D

I'm asking $150 for the planes and field equipment. There's definitely more than $150 worth of stuff in there, even sold used. :)

Thanks!

Brandon

You're killing me... seriously. Yet another hobby I'd love to have a go at... truth is I already have too many. Or, maybe my problem is I have too many jobs and not enough money. Whatever way you look at it, my silver tongue is too tarnished at this point to talk Mo into this :)

Dude... its awesome! I'm still planning on getting a small electric plane to play with. Probably a GWS E-starter come this fall. :D Thats why I'm not really wanting to sell the transmitter... its a great transmitter despite being a bit older.

But shhhh... don't tell Julie until it shows up along with a brushless motor, new charger, and Li-pos. :D Better yet, I sell these to fix her smile and she lets me get a small electric come fall. Yeah... I like the sound of that. :)

Those are sweet planes! I went with my cousin and uncle to a pro-bro day down in Franklin a year or so ago. Had a great time! They had like +60 planes in midair at once all doing a stall. Pretty sweet.
The coolest Birthday present I never actually ever got for my Birthday was a RC glider. The electric engine had enough juice to get it up high and then depending on how good you were, I guess you could fly it indefinitely. The guy at the hobby shop said he got his up as high as the transmitter would allow and then did a dive bomb, swooping at the last minute to miss the ground. I remember he said his buddy was a ball coach and had a radar gun that clocked the plane at over 200mph. My dad's next question was, "Could that plane kill someone if it hit them at 200mph." The guy at the hobby shop stared at my dad a minute before he answered.
I never got a RC glider for my birthday.:(

A Wildthing with a .60? Sounds like fun! Unfortunately I haven't been flying for a while and have a lot of projects "on the bench." I'm going to have to start taking a "flying day" once-in-a-while...

Anyone out your way planning to make a trip to Knoxville anytime soon Brandon? If you were closer...

Dude, Dawg... that sucks you never got to get a glider. Now is definitely the time. :D With brushless motors and lithium polymer batteries, the electrics have just as much power as the nitros! :)

Matt: The Wildthing IS a blast. I flew this one at Cherokee RC in Morristown. :) Never flew it at the White Pine field, though, before they had that guy shooting at their planes.

I'll be heading to East TN hopefully at the end of this month, but I'm pretty sure I've already sold these. :) $150 for all of this stuff is truly a killer deal. It hurts a little selling it, but I just keep telling myself I'll get an electric plane instead. :)

Would have been fun but my money tree is still a seedling. I have cutt some branches that have had her shaded and hopefully see some real growth in the near future.

Do you think I could bum a stick from you to graft onto my money pit? I think I remember my great-grandfather saying the best time to do it was the 2nd or 3rd week of April, so you've got till then. :D

Glad you finally got them sold. My money pit is under construction in the back yard. An approx. 7000 gallon pond. :)
