Is the new problem in this forum going to be all about people bypassing our profanity filters?

wow...i'd forgotten about that game. We used to play that in like '93 and surf Rick's Cafe on the internet for pics of bikini girls. Time has been good to the internet.

Yea that game rocks. There are a few revisions of the game these days. I actually played a flash version of it a few weeks ago. :)

def not. didnt think of it as trying to bypass.

I just used it in the sense of, "gosh darnit" instead of "god damnit"

Scorched Earth will go down in history as one of the greatest games ever. And yes, you can still play it, but these days you'll be doing it under an emulator. Go digging for an older version as well, when the author changed it in later versions, he kept making the explosions smaller and smaller so you couldn't wipe out the entire map with one blast of "Death's Head". (Nothing like the good ol' suicide bombing run with DH)

Now, when you're ready to upgrade technology and catapult into the 21st century...

Gentlemen, I give you Scorched Earth 3D. Definitely in the spirit of the original game, just in 3D so the shots are a bit harder to place until you get the hang of it. Oh, and there's network play available so whenever you need a smacking, let me know. :D
