My husband and I have a job search policy: any new job must be a lower latitude than where we are currently at. So far so good, since my last job was in northern Germany....... but when my dog had snow collecting on her back last night (she was out for 2 minutes for her night-time potty) we both groaned. Maybe it's time to start looking elsewhere!! Houston maybe..... then just evacuate every summer.
We woke up to winter at the cabin this AM; it was 27º, snow blowing side ways, an inch on the ground, and the water lines from the our little tower frozen. Its been a while since I had to scrape the windshield on the boat.
it was 88 degrees all day in Miami yesterday...lol
tell you what though....I LOVE cold weather. I think it gets way too hot down here for too long. No seasons.
I lived in Atlanta for about 5 years and to me that's the greatest weather you can ask for. 2 weeks in August brutally hot, 2 weeks in January brutally cold......the rest of the year...perfect.
That was taken yesterday on mother's Day morning; we would have like left camp Saturday, but the nine mile boat ride in that wind and waves would have been best done with plastic mouth guards in, and since we didn't have to risk the families safety we chose not too, this meant my 5 yo boy and I made it out on the river during the very brief lull in the weather Saturday evening to go on our first alone fishing trip together, which paid off with very good sport for him
