OT - Souther Tier folk

We are going to Bolivar this weekend, which looks about 20 min from Olean and Cuba. I know several of you live down that way, anything you recommend we do or see? We are staying at a lodge for a couple days, foods included but we are looking for some sight seeing day trips, etc.

Thanks -- Joe

Rock City Park in Olean/Bradford area is a good place to spend half a day or so.

allegany national forest has some nice options, (rim rock overlook, kinzua dam ) Zippo visitors center (all of those in pa) . Casino in salamanca, allegany state park. Montour falls state park which has 9 waterfalls(near watkins glen). If you really get bored there is a wal mart in olean. yea, not much around here.. If you have a motorcycle there are some nice rides around here.

Yes, you are probably about to embark on your most boring vacation ever! If you golf bring your clubs, the Bolivar Country Club has a fairly challenging course. VERY enjoyable to play.

Thanks for the ideas, we may head to one of the State Parks. The girlfriend want to see water. Guess the river we cross each day for work is not enough....

If you haven't been the falls in letchworth are cool, but thats pretty close to home.

The hilltop is a cool place BUT the layout the last time I was their looked like they could have filmed a Friday the 13th film there. The Rhodedenrons in the woods on the way up the drive are AWESOME when they are in bloom...

Bolivar is just over the hill from Cuba...I usually member up at the BCC but this year things have been tight...next year

Chautauqua is to far for me for a day trip. Looks like close to 2 hours. But I know several people who go there and love it.

Letchworth is on our list for the trip home as its pretty much on the route. I haven't been there in years.

Chautauqua isn't that far away. Still an hour or a little more. If you plan on going that way head into Friendship and jump on I86 west. You'll be at Jamestown in about 45min and the institute is just past there
