OT - Summer Plans...

Alrighty... as a teacher I am always about summertime! Since I have 6 more credits to go in my Masters program, I will be doing an internship down at Wesley Wood's Camp in Townsend helping with their Adventure Based Counseling (specifically rock climbing and high-ropes course facilitator). I am excited but know that means I will be away from my tanks, cause me to more then likely miss the frag swap, and be away from my wife :(

So the questions is... for those of you in school, out of school, working full time etc... what are you planning to do that is different or special this summer?

ps... after today... only one and a half days until school is out!!! Pretty sad when the teacher is more excited than the students to be done with school this year!

Re: OT - Summer Plans...

That sounds like a fun summer (aside from being away from home!)

working full time

That about sums it up...other than eating, sleeping, and going to ETRC functions of course ;)

For different, I did have a crazy idea to kayak from my house to UT campus this summer; I think I can do it in a single day if I start early, as it's about 50 river miles, and my brother Andrew and I have done 20 miles downriver in 1/2 day several times a few years ago. I would have to kayak from the house to the dam (almost 3 miles, about 30 min.), carry the kayak over into the Holston, and from there into K-town.

Hmmm, I guess I'm going from being in school full time and working full time, to being in school part time and working even more... ;)

We already took our trip to FL... I hope to get in some fishing, camping and maybe some golfing... Then come August I think Ashley wants to go to IL...

Matt,

That sounds like a great trip, especially if you're using touring/sea kayaks... white water kayaks would just kill your shoulders because they can't track worth a hoot. If you need someone to pick you up in K-town and shuttle you back, I got a nice new extended cab tacoma...

I am just trying to get an electronics project done to finish my degree so I can apply for a job at Austin Peay. :D

Hopefully it will go through. If not, I'll remain at MTSU and begin work on my Master's Degree in Education Supervision and Administration. :)

I'm definitely going to get some camping in. Also, even though its almost Fall, I'm planning on going to MACNA in Sept. too. :)

Lets see .....

Started a new job as a stormwater project manager for the Ft. Loudoun Lake Association.
I have this little paper to write.
Off to Disney next week.
Maybe a trip to the beach?
Mowing the yard and doing all those other things that need to be done.

50 miles huh Matt? Good luck.

Being a father and a husband to the best of my ability before the next 2 years hit (I'm half way through vet school).

Giving the house more "curb appeal".....and more "inner appeal".

......and last but not least......fishing while I can:D
