And sadly if I hadn't married Kevin I'd probably be like her when I get older ;p

Chrisstie, I'm like you, if I hadn't married Keith, I'd be like that now...lol..as it is, I've somehow convinced him to have 5 furry "kids"...

I have part of the internet plugged into my brain at all times. Sometimes these strange sites just come to me when I'm not thinking about anything ;p

And yeah Joe that could be my house but my cat count is only up to 3 :)

That is just wrong. No one person should be allowed to keep 130 cats. And inside to top it off. What kind of quality of life do those cats have? NONE.
Sorry to get on my soapbox, but I just care too much about animals not to say anything.
I find no humor in the fact that they are crammed in to a small room like that, and then the woman just scatters the food like she was feeding chickens or something.
That's just wrong, and sad.
Just my two cents, and you can keep the change. :)

I'm not sure Russia has any organizations like the SPCA or anything similar. I"m sure there ARE places like that but maybe not on such a large scale as the US has. Their economy and lifestyle are a bit different- not to mention the weather.

I would still rather see those cats (all of which surprisingly look relatively healthy for strays!) inside during a russian winter even if it is in the house.

Knowing cats they don't "go" where they eat so feeding them on the floor is a pretty smart move. I wish there was more info on her litter box setup etc. We're very used to seeing lots of animals like that here in the news but sitting in inches of waste and horrible living conditions. I'm wondering if there isn't more we just aren't seeing because they look really great for being together.

I'm surprised at how socialized they seem. If I had a lot of money maybe I could import some of her strays to lighten the load to the SPCA or homes of folks wanting to adopt :)

I've just never ever seen anything like that before its insane!

It really looks like the cats are not being fed well enough. If they were they wouldn't be going crazy for the food like that when she walks in the room. It's sad to see something like that and I don't even like cats.

Disgusting. I don't know how someone like that can get off thinking they are "helping" all the homeless cats. I wonder if they are all fixed, my guess would be that she doesn't care that much.

There's only one word for this: collector. She seems to still have somewhat of a handle on it, but soon enough it'll be way more than she can handle, and its going to get messy.

:eek1:
It looked like she was feeding a bunch of rats the way they were all scurrying around for that food.

Insanity is all I can say. I thought my Aunt was bad with her 18 cats. Ewww!

I wonder if the Russian lady spays and neuters? Not likely, so she will end up with more than she has now.

People like this (collectors) should be stopped. It is just wrong for the quality of life of the cats. Or lack there of.

It is unfortunate. I love animals and hate to see those crowded conditions!
