ot: Time Warner Cable rant

I am having an incredibly rough time with these guys.
My stupid roomate didn't pay the bills on time, so when I paid the bill (the account is under my name) the payment somehow did not get posted on the ledger by fault of the customer care representative. (which also cost an additional fee of nearly 2 dollars) I call the next time, and they say they will put a "note" next to it saying the payment was made through my visa. so there i am, thinking the issue is resolved.
next bill comes around, and i still see that payment as NOT being paid. i call again and explain myself all over again. they say that the best way is for me to fax proof of that payment to the local office along with a letter explaining what was going on. I go ahead and do this, thinking things would be solved this time around, but no. I then get a warning letter that my services will be cut off, and it really did get cut off...so I call again, and they apologized for the cutting of services (internet) and said the best way was for me to go to my local office. They provide me with the Glendale address @ Eaglerock, I drive over there on a Saturday to get things resolved. The lady looks at my account and rudely says there's nothing they can do for me over there as I was supposed to go to the Hollywood office. So after 1 hour of driving, I'm at the Hollywood office. I tell the clerk my situation (for the 1000th time) and he tells me that there's nothing he can do for me, as the manager is out, the systems are down, and nothing can be done at that moment.

a few days past, i receive a bill yet again from Time Warner Cable saying I haven't paid this payment, all because I chose to use a customer care representative, pay the additional 2 dollars to use the telephone service to get this payment done. Not to mention, every call to Time Warner will place you on hold at LEAST 20-30 minutes.

i am absolutely sick and tired of their service level. i know comcast was bad, but i didn't know things could get worse...MUCH worse.

Time warner cable, the Power of You? it really tests your power alright...by draining it
 
My local office is very good (corona). I have NOT ever had a problem that couldn't be fixed the same day.
Maybe luck, I need it.
Sorry to hear. Maybe it will get better. I would call or email CS.
 
the service sucks but they a have an exceptional variety of channels/HD. I have the old adelphia box and controller which uses the old interface which is soo much better then the new. Only prob is tivo capacity
 
I have also had nothing but extremely poor customer service from Time Warner. On multiple occassions I had to spend over an hour on hold with them only to be treated rude and get nothing resolved. It took weeks before I was finally able to talk to someone competent enough to fix the issue.
 
Just call and call and call. I called them 5 times in the same day back to back and finally got a rep who took care of it. During their transition, I was being double billed - once from Comcast, then again from Time warner for the same internet account. Plus they "accidently" added on 2 extra cable boxes on the bill for my cable. In the end, they credited me the entire amount for the internet plus 6 months for the extra cable boxes that they only charged one month on. I didn't bother to tell them they credited me too much b/c I figured I'd have to call them back another 5 times to take care of it.
 
I am not a fan of time warner either.

MY service was great and worked fine with comcast. As soon as it changed I was getting crap tv reception and my cable internet would cut out every hour or so...

I love the fourty minute hold time while the one phone operator takes their crack break out the back.

Its the same crap service I had years ago with them before they switched to AT&T and then Comcast... I hate time warner.

exactly i just cahnged over to at&t with dish network couldn't be happier my bill went from 180.00 a month with cox cable and now it is 70.00 a month
 
I will never use them again. I had issues with my internet for 5 weeks. They sent out dumb tech after dumb tech. Instead of saying they can't fix it, they blew me off. I now have Verizon Fios internet and TV.

I am with charter here and I used to have a lot of problems but I haven't lately knock on wood!! My cable internet used to go down a lot so I had a tech out he told me it was my coax in the house. I thought OK the house is about 15 years old it needs to be changed so I did it. Same problem had another tech out he told me the same thing house wire problem and left I wasn't home for this one. So I called again had a tech come out he said the same thing, so I asked if he had a 50 ft piece of coax on his truck he got it and gave it to me I put ends on it and ran it out the front door to their cable box and directly to my modem. Cable was still down the tech left and went an changed some thing in their main box up the road I haven't had any problems since.
