OT: Time Warner outage

Anyone else in the Rochester/Irondequoit area with Time Warner without cable tv and internet this morning?

ever since I upgraded service TWC has been a complete flop.. I've never had so many problems ever before.

Last Sunday I had to call them and have 'em "bump" my box.
What is going on?

Ours was out too. It's been off and on a couple of times since I got back from Marks.

mine is just funky. internet works, but some channels on tv are frozen. been happening since last nigh.

Thanks all, glad I'm not crazy and TWC has been sucking badly the last couple of weeks./

So glad it also happened today when I have so much to do that I don't miss it ...... archery practice and thrown weapons practice for the win.

I can't count the numerous movies or programs that have been ruined by interruptions such as this by TW technical problems OR actual resetting work they do sometimes to the entire network it self.

They also seem to never pick any specific time either, for these inconvenient interruptions. Whether it's highest in viewing time or lowest for most subscribers.
Regardless, they have more tech & system update interruptions than is reasonable.

But Satellite in it's own way is No better. Either one is a flop in that sense.

The golden days of cable are gone. Now it's nothing but commercials- when it used to be commercial free. Plus it doesn't matter how loyal you are or how much per month you spend. You'll still get the over excessive interruptions and periodic increases to your bill each year. Everyone needs the services today with all the communication and techno crap we run. They've got you by the *** But sometimes remembering the days of "free" broadcast tv and good pay cable, nostalgic as that is, are good memories.

I changed to directv last year and couldn't be happier, only one outage since June and it was only a few hours. The NFL stuff alone is worth the switch not even counting the hundred bucks a month I'm saving.

Fios has its share of issues also and they play the same price hike game as time warner

yea this is why i don't have cable and use a pc for my tv. i still get just about everything I want for the price of my internet which I need for my second job. and yes it does sadden me that the best upload twc can offer is 5mbps up. I want fios for thier 25/25. that would be amazing but anyways I worked for twc for years and they aren't going to change but only get worse. sorry......

Must just be you guys in Rochester. I got TW 6 years ago when I moved into my house in Cheektiowaga and I can't even tell you when the last time I had a serious problem (outages and such). The last problem I had was a failed HDD in my DVR but that was easily rectified.

I have no problems with them except the extremely high bill I get every month.
