Problem with that site is that it requires flash. While flash is great, the web is accessed by so many mobile devices these days and many of them don't support flash. If you're looking to sell stuff, I would recommend having the site designed with that in mind. Make a cool flash page, but have the site check if the user is using Windows Mobile, an iPhone, etc...

How much would something like that cost?
On my iphone i cant see flash at all. So doing something like that,
would it have to be two different websites? One for
computers n one for phones?
 
Good website are easily $800+++ (with a shopping cart system easily means a few grand), good big websites are a few ten/hundred grand depending how big it is.

That's a 20K site at least. For the price it includes everything, all graphic assets, animation, all creative concepts, architecture, and programming. Hosting and shopping cart would be separate cost. Of course if you provide your own graphic assets, it would be cheaper.

I wouldn't worry about iphones, etc. Site like that does not target mobile users. If you want to target mobile users create a separate mobile site for them and/or develop an iphone app.

No, this stuff is not for the faint of heart.

Ya, that site would be way $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to make.
i won't even touch flash web sites because ther not very search engine friendly.
 
Wow that much huh?! Lol she wanted something like that but thats way too
much $$$$. How much would a typical website cost anyways? Isnt there one thats just
like a template n u put ur own pictures n type your own info in it?
I really dont know what she really wants to do with it. She just likes that website n was asking how much that would cost.

Sure, there are tons of templates out there, just google it. Someone will need to implement and put the pieces together. It won't be custom like the Ivanka's. It's a difference between looking for a wedding dress that's your size at a common store and completely design a dress that fits your body with every detail that compliments every aspect. You get what you pay for, for the most part, unless you are being scammed.
 
A simple website like a one page I build for $500. And that is if you give me the art work you want to use. Then goes up from there based on what you are looking for. They are right something like that site with Flash ruffly around $5000 just time consumming that is a give or take on how many pages. That site has like tons of pages using flash not $20K worth of work.

Sure, but it's not the kind of site you were looking for.

This site is a hybrid, contains flash animations as well as ajax and dhtml. They have lots of products so there's quite a bit of data backend which is hooked to a custom backend CMS (which we built) that allows them to manage their own products and images. It's also multi-lingual and served on a CDN that's replicated all over the world. Everything was built from scratch, from concept to animation, to architecture, to programming, and technical launch.
