OT: Web Hosting?

I'm getting fed up with my free web hosting service. Great on paper. Unfortunately, the Internet is not a paper product.

Anyone have any good solutions out there for hosting? I wasn't wanting to pay more than a trivial amount as I don't really use it much. Just to post some new stuff a couple times a year, like my MJ Stream Swirls now that folks have asked to see.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be grateful. Unfortunately, my domain registrar doesn't offer it...

I use xo gateway for my site. Its $15 a month. Very happy with the service.

I was going to recommend my host detailhosting.com but it appears they were just purchased. It looks like I may also be in the market for a new host. My current deal is 10 gig for $5.95 per month.

When I went to log on to check on the current promotion I was redirected to hosterdirect.com. They don't appear to offer teh same deal. We'll see if they change my terms.

Anyway do a google search for cheap web hosting and you will get a few million results.

Thanks. Well I signed up for 1and1 and paid for an account. It never asked me for my domain, and promised an email that has not arrived (usually these come instantly). So far, a bit skeptical. We'll. see.

Mine came in my spam folder . Mine took a few hours but I could get into the admin panel before they sent the email.
