OT: Wendy's

ok, so immediately after I moved down here my favorite fast food restaurant closes down all over STL metro

Friday afternoon I was able to enjoy some wendy's in Springfield

anyways, I got to thinking, "there has to be at least ONE open in the STL metro area"

so, I am wondering if anyone has seen a wendy's in the greater STL area that is open and operating

I'll even drive to the Illinois side, this is my favorite food ever

There is one down 55, I think its in Herculaneum or something. Its attached to a gas station. The last time I ate there it was horrible though, might not be worth the drive.

Living in Columbus, I can't walk more than 2 miles and not find a Wendy's. I haven't done any research, but I've heard nationally they just aren't doing that hot. This proves that to a point. It's too bad, they make a pretty good cheese burger and spicey chicken sandwich.

apparently the corporation that owned nearly every one in st louis went bankrupt and was ordered to close the restaurants to resolve the debts

this is my favorite fast food joint

bad wendys is better than no wendys

well that herculaneum store is 15.8 for the nook, but 36 miles for me...if nothing else turns up it would still be worth it

does anyone know if there are any locations between here and mermac? might as well make a trip out of it

Since Big Dave the Founder died, Wendy's has rapidly went downhill....I fear the end is very near.

Actually, I'm finding more. whitepages.com
Might want to check to see if they're still open but I'm guessing they are. Not being on the website might have something to do with which are franchised. Just a guess

Which one on McKelvey? This shows two. Personally, I don't eat wendy's either

Almost all of those are closed. Local franchisee got into some tax problems, like not paying any, and was forced to close. I'm sure, sooner or later they will be sold and another, or the corporation will reopen them.

I think all the local ones are closed, I have not been able to find one local still open yet. We are discussing Wendys in one of my classes right now and there was just an article in Wall street journal that they are talking about selling, as stated above, since Daves been gone, that place has been going down hill. I miss it too, I was in Dallas last weekend and got me some!
