Hello to all,

We are both getting bored out of our minds these days and can't seem to find anything fun to do locally. Just wondering what you guys & gals do for fun these days?

We don't do the bar/nightclub thing- what else is there?

TIA!

Charles

Ride Dirt Bikes, Go Off-Roading, Go bike riding at 5:00am(less cars, less chances of accidents, plus the weather is awesome, Go to Sea-World, go fishing, jet-sking,camping!!!

Theres lots to do, if your bored its cause your boring:rolleyes: hehe thats what my Dad says when I say Im bored...or he just gives me a scrubber and tells me to clean the floor:(

For a weekend trip you can check out either Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion or Arches National Monument.

Yosemite and Seqoia National Park is a great weekend trip as well. On the way back from Yosemite you can take Tioga Pass (12000 feet and open a few months during the summer) to Mammoth.

You can do Las Vegas, Bryce Canyon and Zion in a fast paced long weekend.

Locally you can check out Huntington Library, Gettys Musuem, Ronald Reagon Library or take a 3 hour trip to Solvang.

Bike riding and kayaking mostly, or stuff with friends. The dog runs my life now, so late nights out partying aren't really possible... not that I'm inclined to want to anymore.

You can rent a couple of kayaks for an hour or two to give it a try; there are lots of rental places locally, but I like Southwind 'cause they keep their kayaks in great shape. They have rental stations in Newport Back Bay and Dana Point.

Really though, what ISN'T there to do in So Cal? It isn't like where I grew up, when sitting on the porch watching the lightning bugs was entertainment. Around here its harder to pick among your choices than to find something to do. :)

What are you thinking about? Sports? Day trips? Evenings out?

Have you been to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach yet? Pay the lil extra money for the Behind the Scenes tour. I was certainly overwhelmed.

When I do have free time I fly my R/C helis. I haven't had time lately so they just sit collecting dust.

They're open every day except xmas day and when the LB Grand Prix is around.

So does the length of the kayak determine its purpose? Its around 14-16 feet.

HEEELLLLLLLL yEEEEEAAA BOIII!!! BBQ at the Aquarium!!!

Thanks Nicole.

Oh wow I didn't see the BBQ part. My wife and I are members so it's only 13 bucks for each of us! I think we know what we'll be doing on Tuesday night!

$23.50 for non members. Does that include the admission as well? From their website "Public: $23.50 and $17.50 child (includes discounted Aquarium admission)"

I like to snowboard during the winter.

If you run out of things to think of just grab a tourist handbook at the book store and start going down the list.
