OT: What to do in Atlanta, GA this weekend?!

Hubby and I are taking a long weekend to Atlanta, GA tomorrow and were wondering what there is to do there, besides the aquarium? We wanted to get away for a little vacation before baby came, as it will probably be awhile before we can get away again.

Any suggestions?

Theres a nice little winery with local varieties of wine. NIce little place.

You don't drink at a tasting anyway, you spit it out. The trip is nice anyway, they have a nice vineyard, and the property is beautiful. There is an ice resort hotel there as well.

We were thinking of the botanical gardens someone had mentioned and someplace called Stone Mountain. We really only have Friday and Sat. , so we were thinking Friday the aquarium and Sat. something else. We like history, the outdoors, animals...........

The zoo's decent, Atlanta Zoo

Fernbank Museum, (Deep Sea Exibit right now) Museum

And for the evening I suggest Phat Matts, best bar-b-q and blues in the city. Fat Matt's be prepared to stand in line for a bit when you get there, its a small place, but worth the wait.

japanese embroidery center. Can probably see some beautiful hand embroidered obi's. I think you have to call for a tour though.
