OT: Where to buy Sunglasses

So, my shades finally bought it... *&@^# Arm broke.

Now I know there's the little island in the mall, but where else can one acquire a decent set of eye protective fashion wear?

I used to live on a box of the cheap-o one's from the drugstore in my landscaping days, but I've since found I can't wear those things anymore. I generally like modern designs, mirrored lenses. Don't need a script in them, so they don't have to be corrective lenses... I'd just like to get out of paying full retail price for them if I can. :D

Also, though I normally don't mind, Mail Order's not an option. I have to try on the pair of glasses I'm walking out of the store w/ - too many bumps and divot's in my head.

Thanks Mark, that's what just broke on me last night. I'll give them a try (there's that other one across on Jay Scutti Blvd., too...?)

I got some Oakleys for like ten dolla downstate.
lol

I find Ray Ban to be reliable and not too sportsy that you look like a bug.

Thats Gander mountain. I'm not sure if they carry any glasses.

Dicks is now in the mall that was formerly Galyans. I was recently there and think I saw sunglasses there. If not, I'm sure some of the other places there will be able to help.

hahaha!!!

Obligatory Gucci! These *scream* Mac to me.

Well, Mac makeup that is.

Dicks (formerly Galyans) has a moderate selection, though not nearly as good as when it was Galyans. If you don't have any by the time one of the big festivals with vendors arrives again in Rochester (Corn Hill Fest/various canal days fests), there's always one of the off brand sunglass vendors there. Public market Saturday morning in the city also has sunglasses.

Ahh... That's right, Dicks bought the other guy, or something? Went to Gander, they had a very small selection... Looks like we'll be trotting off to the mall tonight. Hope tomorrow's cloudy..

I got mine off of ebay Original Oakley metal -x they are the best I have never bought anything else since my first pair and I save the old ones even after I get new ones.

Got mine at Lenscrafters--need a bit of bifocal action at this point. Can't go wrong with RayBan's, lots of styles, bulletproof, and many insurances have a rider for eyeglasses that just might cut or eliminate the cost. I like Lenscrafters as they will tune up the fit for you any time you like for free.

THis will sound crazy but there are cheap sunglasses that fit me perfectly. They are called "strike-king" and found in the walmart fishing section.

Hehhee, you're lucky Kent, you're lucky.
Thanks Namyar, I've had good luck w/ them - interestingly, it's a pair of Oakley's that broke on me... The sales girl at Galyans yesterday told me to send them in to Oakley for repair. She did that once, was only about 12 bucks in postage to get it fixed! Too bad I already super-glued the arm back on (in the wrong position... ). I'm replacing this pair, but may try sending it in to see if there's anything they can do (make a nice backup).
