:p

LOL...anybody from the Helpdesk Team here?

maybe it's because you guys like to always upgrade your stuff so you fit in the category of dorks & geeks. You have to have the best of the best, i.e. skimmers, lights, new equipment where as in computers, new technology is always coming out. New processors, hard drives, better graphics, just faster ability in general, reasons for things to go obsolite. It's to say you are one of a few in a generation/decade where as in the next 50+ years, similar to cars and computers, saltwater equipment/fish will drop in price and make it more common and not as sought after. diamond in the ruff

I (was) in the IT field. (SCO Unix Admin) for an accounting firm. I hated that job.. ugh. I don't know, but since the IT market slumped in mid 2001, I slowly drifted towards accounting/finance because that's where the money is. I got really tired of IT.

Now the only computer-related work I do is PC Repairs and Consulting. IT gets boring overtime... plus absolutely NO hot chicks in the field, lol.

I only know one hot chick in the field and she's my best friend's gf. Full time in the modeling scene and also full time as a Solaris admin and CCIE.

Other than that, yes, it's a male dominated field. Having more women in it wouldn't be bad. Being around guys all day gets a bit lame.

Man... there are a lot of bitter users out there. Maybe we should step-up the level of service and support fellas? Or... maybe we should intensify the number of starbucks runs, trips to the movies, and playing counter-strike/ halo online at the office....

(Im just sayin.... LOL)

No kidding. Where do you work? I'm in Accounting/Finance. Agree, IT is extremely male dominated. You have to be in HR or Adminstrative Assistant for women.

I log in daily at 8:05 exactly.

And then wake up around 9.
