OT: Windows update

Came home tonight and my windows wanted to update.. Well one of the updates is Internet Explorer 7, So far I'm not liking this so much everything keeps opening up in a different tab instead of Window.. I don't like the Tab feature is there a way to turn it off?

I don't like the font either

Never mind I found it Just needed to Maximize the page for all the setting to show.

You can also turn the tabs off in one of the menus.
I hate that version !

.....tabbed browsing is the greatest thing ever...Ive been on firefox for over a year now and dont even know how to use MIE anymore....tabbed browsing is the best, window browsing is for women

I tried firefox for a while I liked it but had problems with pictures loading right.

hmm..thats odd...the only thing I have problems with is java sometimes...but other than that, I love tabbed browsing, since you hate it, you may as well not even bother

The good thing about tabbed browsing is that you're not running another complete iexplore.exe process and hogging up memory. If you have a couple dozen windows open it will start to slow the computer down but you can have dozens of them open in tabs and it runs like you've only got one window open.

Roy I didn't know that part.. Might have to keep it that way then. I always have atleast 5-6 windows going when I start looking stuff up and jumping around. Wife always gets on and yells at me because the Toll bar is full internet windows

firefox rules. tabbed browsing in IE7 bites. I don't like it. I avoid it.

for those that use firefox, why do I occasionally get a quicktime error on certain websites?
it says something like I need version 5 or higher- I have the latest one installed and when I go to update the stupid player, it tells me that my player is up to date.
-this usually happens if someone emails me a video link. I can't watch it on firefox, but can on IE??

the way I like to browse forums is to open several threads at once and then go down the line

in explorer I have to right click > open in new window

when I browse RC I usually have about 6 or 7 threads open at once and just go down the line replying/reading....in explorer this blows ***, that is why I like the tabbed browsing in firefox, I can just go down the line center clicking and having the new tabs...its WAY faster than a new window load
