spyder- can you show photos of the ant farms? Sounds cool.
This is one of my other things that I love doing woodworking. If you have other things that you love to do show us.
I've been trying to come up with a hobby that I can do in my spare time sitting on the couch watching TV. My wife just took up knitting, so I want to figure out something to do when sitting around. I'm thinking about whittling or carving.
Besides that I watch and play a lot of hockey and brew beer and wine. This spring/summer I'll be starting a couple colonies of honey bees. Hopefully they give me enough honey to use in my beer/wine making to try my hand at a mead.
honeybees are nice. i did my senior project on them. deff was fun getting into the bee suit and smoking the hive to open it and check out the inside and tend to the bees. my grandpa has ALOT of empty hives lol, he use 2 keep bees. he has no time or room anymore (moved to webster) but it is a fun hobby
Nice. I've wanted to do it for a few years now. I didn't have time last year, so I had to put it off until this year. There's a beekeeping club that gives free classes to the public every winter in Canandaigua. They will hook you up with a mentor that has been keeping bees for a while, so you can get some first hand experience in the Spring. I'm excited to get the colonies going. I just have to purchase everything (I think I'll be making the hives though).
I felt that reef keeping didn't eat up enough time and money and recently decided to start playing hockey and collecting wrist watches. I haven't gotten into anything too fancy with the watches yet, but have a small collection of different automatics going. Mainly trying to figure out what I like.
I haven't done anything too fancy on the ice yet either. I'm a compelte mess out there, which is actually a lot of fun.
