Our 450g reef, 360g predator tanks

I DID just order that Olympus 1030SW that Bart pointed out. It looks like a pretty good camera for taking super closeup shots underwater. And movies too. :D

Thanks Bart!

yeah, I linked to the wrong one by accident. I have seen this beauty in person and you are going to love it. The owner gets a laugh when he has people over and he washes it in the kitchen sink.

OK! A small video showing the fish swimming.

A small, shaky video IN the water on the right side:

A small, shaky video IN the water on the left side:

Enjoy! :D

So I have a question: It'seasy to see how the right side lights are suspended, but did you train the left side to levitate???

I'm still thinking levitation.
That tank is magical!

I LOVE the video! Thanks for fulfilling my every whim. :)
Were the pumps off during shooting?

Next time. Mini RC sub with the camera duct taped to it.
Think about it. You know you want to.
Patti can come in and yell ACTION!
QUIET ON THE SET!

You know, we DO have a mini RC sub....

hmmmm.......

The return from the sump pump was off but the CL pump was still running.

Glass Cages. I know, I know, I've read the horror stories. :D

But I've read more success stories then horror stories. And after reading the thread about the nightmare going on with AFY....

Aquariums For You. They're in NJ. Apparently they've been taking orders and accepting down payments but have now gone out of business. Talk about a nightmare!

I found the 450 used and abused and got it very inexpensively. It's glass. The predator tank is going to come away from the 450 to form an L. We wanted them both to have the same appearence so we really wanted glass. Acrylic really opens the door for cool shapes AND it wouldn't take a battion of guys to lift it and move it. But acrylic DOES scratch WAY easier than glass does.

Anyway, that's the reason we chose glass and we chose glass cages mostly because of price.

A friend came out today and took some pictures of the 450. He knows how to use a good digital camera.

A FTS that really shows the tank. The blurs are the fish MOVING! I couldn't talk them into freezing for a few seconds. This is a BIG picture so scroll ------>

And here are a lot of the fish having a snack. This is only about 4 feet of the 10 foot tank but most of the fish happen to be in the pic.

Thanks Frankie and Bax. In a few years it will look really nice, it's just going to take time for everything to grow out. Now we're busy building the stand for the 360g which is coming in two weeks. YIKES!!!!
