we have to get a 10g to connect to the main tank for the next babies...
and a 5g to hatch brine shrimps too...

anything we are forgetting?

Looks like you have all the basics, we are on our third batch that we have tried to catch. Just got a whole set of them last night using Wilkerson's setup, I'm actually going to modify her design so that I can just hang a fry catcher right on the tank, plug it in, and let it rip.

Feeding them Rofiters already, and we are seeing some eat so I'm pretty sure that are doing ok. Cute little buggers :)

Not sure when to start BBS just yet, but if I can get these guys past 5 or 6 days I think we stand a good chance. One thing I'm doing is that I stayed away from the green water and just got food and rotifer pods from Brine Shrimp Direct (google them), also getting a sieve (no more coffee filters) to move Rotifers. I keep my water a little greener than yours and in buckets (I'm cheap)...

Good luck, we were so excited last night to be actually able to catch so many, now if I can just keep them alive :)

thanks Paul!
any pics or video of the fry?

we took the piece of LR with the eggs out to let them hatch in the nano.. was easier then catch them after hatch (we have a 150g tank with a lot of fish ;) )...

I put back teh LR in the main tank after, but I'm concern taht the parents wont lay eggs again on it? what do you think?

I'll try to get some pics tonight, right now I'm feeding Rot's like crazy and dripping fresh water into to lower the salinity (aka Wilkerson).

If you put the rock back they should use it again, I know they will do it with tiles. Mine have laid eggs in two different spots. Last night they where doing the "Let's lay eggs dance", so we will be watching to see where they lay them.

Lot's to learn, the salinity in the fry tank was at abou 1.027!!, started lowering it last night, but have not lost any fry, just worried about the Rots shocking and dying...

Ok here are some pics, lost one this evening. Still have about 20-30 left from what I can tell, I can't seem to get a good picture of them without moving stuff all over.

I have the tank wrapped, this is all the water monitoring stuff so I can see what's going on.

Papa guarding the last batch of eggs, they are cleaning the old spot this evening and not happy about me watching them. We expect another batch of them this week.

Laundry room with buckets of rotifers, changing this out for two 2.5 Gal glass tanks, with heaters, in tank water monitors and air stones so I can see what's going on.

Tomorrow I'll open the tank and try to get some pics of the fry's...

This is a better one of papa...

I'm going to shop around to get better products...
is there brands that are better then others?
and for the rotifers... is it better to get those in bottles or get eggs (does it exist?)

Call Brine Shrimp direct in Utah, I've been thrilled with their products and support (google them)...

I lost 2 more this morning, so I'm at about 20 or so left. Today is the critical day, if they can make it to tomorrow we should be close to saving at least a couple.

No new eggs yet, but they are getting ready. Which is good, gives us a chance to get things ready...
