Our snowflake clown has been widowed :(. Now what?

We had a beautiful pair of snowflake clowns and we just lost the male to unknown causes. No aggressive fish all parameters within normal range and No other sudden deaths.

We had the pair for well over a year and a half and they were bonded. So we're definitely sad.

We would like to have a pair again but not sure how to or when to introduce another clown with hopes of them to bond.

Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

I would wait a few weeks to see if the other clown is ok, then just get another one that is smaller then one that is in the batch at your lfs, but also make sure its not bigger then your current one. They should pair up, but nothing is 100%, so you would need to monitor it.
