Lastly maybe a coral genius can tell me what kind of coral species this is ? it came in on the live rock but is doing well was brown and turned brownish green over time not a fast grower though

Could be Porites sp. Hard to say. Got a more detailed pic available?

Hi, great tank, great fish.
I think that coral is Merulina.

With that new pic I'd go with snocho and say its Merulina ampliata.

I have merulina species and they are more fleshy than this species it is more rock like though unless it is a specific species of merulina but im not convinced of that id thanks though! I was thinking it may be goniastrea sp perhaps?

this picture makes me think it maybe Goniastrea favulus
