Out of Africa (picture intensive)

Another nice haliocheres I added is h. Prospeion , two tone wrasse also a good nudi eater, hard to get a good pic of though.. <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/42085951@N06/10051206616/" title="iphone pics and video 010 by Kinlayan, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3786/10051206616_f4d321071d.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="iphone pics and video 010"></a>

Haliocheres biocellatus was my best nudi eater i got until i added the h. ornatissmus/cosmetus
inspite of being added months later and being new, the new wrasse forced biocellatus to see refuge in the soft coral section where he now lives quite happily.

Tank looks amazing. It has came a long way! If you could change anything about you current set up what would it be?

1sik1500 - thank you! only i wish i had a larger area for filtration but the design with compartments i wouldnt change it has enabled me to keep a diversity of marine life

Mystery wrasse doesnt play nice with other wrasses especially fairies.

Could you step back and take a Full tank shot? I would love to see how the compartments have filled in since you started? I've seen maybe one other split tank to house different livestock but yours is truly one of a kind.

Kinlayan, I had a number of problems with your video.

1). The resolution must be 1080 for such a beautiful tank.
2). Only four minutes long? Are you kidding me?
3). My lips are chapped from drooling.

Please rectify as many of these problems as you can.

Ok now this fish im very excited about , its a deepwater 'hogfish' Terelabrus sp. from indian ocean. This fish has tons of personality it does not act like a hogfish at all in my opinion has a
Small mouth and is very peaceful and timid. It does stay out in the open alot though.

Its truly beautiful and perfect for a reef, it doesnt bury in sand at night but seems to rather sleep under rocks near the sand and form a mucous cocoon around it- really an awesome fish imo.

Kinlayan, Love your Terelabrus! We have two of them in our smaller reef. They have GREAT personalities...

Also, LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the video! Beautiful tank chock-full-of awesome fish and corals! Thanks so much for sharing...

amazing tank, truly unique, a masterpiece of diversity of fish in a mixed reef, love the large angels, this tank is one of my all time favorites! thanks again for sharing!

I just read through all 23 pages of this thread. Incredible.

Kinlayan, you have created (in my estimation) to be the Mona Lisa of all reef tanks. Your appreciation for the life of your pets and the care you give them is par none. Thank you for the great read.

Now my questions.. hopefully I didn't overlook them somewhere in this thread:

-- Do you run snails / crabs? if so, what species and in what quantities (if that is even determinable..)

-- how about other inverts? Clams? Larger Urchins?

-- have you ever considered an eel? I think it would add a lot to the setup (of course the concern of tank mates and lunches would come into direct question, I'm thinking)

I don't know enough to answer these myself, so I was just wondering your thought behind them.

Again, thanks for the read. :)

Dave m - thanks I will certainly aim to improve those problems, much appeciated :)
Prop-frags, thank you both , am a huge fan of your slice of reef as well, similar tastes in fish too.
Auem it ranges from 24 in winter to 26 in peak summer but in a 24 hour period it doesnt change more than 1 degree-thank you!
Elliot- many thanks for your encouragement
Coltonmeng- I am honored by your compliments , thank you
30-40 snails around 3 species, I add about 10 a year to nake up for any deaths
3 sandsifting stars
1 tuxedo urchin-not a fan of others species they are bulldozers
15 cleaner shrimps
9 hermits various species
2 clams in lps section
I may consider an eel if it wouldn't eat smaller fish but hard to find that
